BEST mousetrap I've used. And I've used a lot!
Living in between a barn and horse pasture to my east, a forest to my north, a field to my west, and a hoarding situation to my south, we have mice. And I, have a compromised immune system, so I'd really rather not be exposed to anymore germs or diseases than I need to. We have tried MANY traps... The rolling log over water, the rolling log over an empty bucket, snap traps, sticky traps, poison balls, poison in a container that protects pets from eating it, copper wire barriers, wooden plywood barriers, garbage can mouse traps, electrocution mouse traps, duct tape barriers, more advanced snap traps, walk the plank, pet-safe poison balls...I think I got everything.Anyways, I've tried everything. Seeing this one on Mousetrap Monday / Shawn Woods / You Tube channel, I decided to try it, and I am so happy I did. (1) I've already caught four mice (2) You don't need ANY BAIT! (3) Even with arthritis, easy to wind up (4) Not this big ugly thing that screams out IM A MOUSE TRAP (5) No mouse escapes (6) Set it and forget it (7) I prefer catch and release traps to kill traps (8) On the one little dude who got his head caught in the "superspeed revolving door," he must've died pretty fast. I'd rather the occasional accidental death, than not catching the mouse and risking germs, diseases, etc. (9) You don't have to check it, because you will hear either the snap of the revolving door, or the mouse/mice moving around. (10) I literally put on gloves, go far away outside, open the door, release the mouse, release any droppings, close the door, give it some more winds, and back it goes. With the accidental death, it looked similar to a snap trap. No blood, no guts, just a dead mouse. I moved the revolving door a bit, and he too, fell out of the door onto the grass. (11) Light weight and (12) sturdy. I'm sure I'll think of more reasons I like this trap at 2:43am.The only "modification" I have made to this trap is I used scotch tape to tape down the clear plastic top, to the metal trap. Not a complete seal. Maybe 1- strips on each side. This is not due to a design flaw. This is due to a dog who LOVES to catch and eat mice. This prevents her from eating the live mice (eww) so I can release them outside. This is not a design flaw, this is a my-dog-is-a-hunter-dog modification. This is pet safe, child safe, no poison, no bait, no checking, no smell, no annoying sounds. And it works. I normally DON'T do ANY reviews of products on amazon, but I made an exception after catching four mice! And affordable. I highly suggest trying it. And as of the time of this post, there are free returns if you don't like it or no mice are caught. This is just my opinion and I am but one person. But this trap is awesome and I think you should at least give it a try? AND you don't have to worry about snapping your finger as you set it. :)

Best mouse traps I've ever owned!
These work great! I think the record for this trap was 6 mice before I emptied it. They are catching machines and you don't have to check them every single day which is nice.If you don't have one yet, buy it!

Great wind up mouse trap
These Ketch-Alls are great, they DO work, they are definitely the most effective multi catch trap at actually catching mice, but you do need to wind it up every 4-5 mice, so it does need to be checked every single day.

Bought 10 traps- injured or killed the mice- followed instructions
This product injures and/or kills the mice it traps. Recommend not purchasing it if you are desiring to be humane in catching and releasing mice. I originally bought this trap a number of years ago, and it worked great. When I moved to a farmhouse I needed more traps so I purchased ten of them. All the newer traps injured or killed the mice I caught. I cannot return the item now as it's beyond the time period; however, I'm writing this review to prevent other mice from being tortured when they get trapped. If you purchase this product and have the same result, you should notify the company immediately so they are aware of the problem and imperfections, and get your money back.

Good Trap
The top is a clear plastic, but in general it's a really good catcher!

Maybe mine's broken..
I've been using this to catch mice in my chicken coop and at first it seemed to work very well. It's a target-rich environment in my coop and I was catching 5-9 mice a night. Every so often there'd be a dead mouse among the live mice I had caught, which didn't bother me much. I really don't care if the mice are killed in the process of catching them, I just haven't found a trap that will kill them cleanly, and I don't like dealing with half dead mice. But after a while I started finding dazed, half-dead mice in this trap. They all had part of their heads smashed in. I'd give them to my cats to finish off (if the chickens didn't beat them to it). Then it got worse, where mice were stuck inside the trap (in the center tunnel part of the trap), half dead with smashed in heads. I'd have to pull them out (alive and squirming) and then give it to a cat or chicken to finish off. I keep using the trap because it does sort of work, but the stuck, half dead mouse is now the norm. I'm not sure if my trap has somehow malfunctioned and maybe I should buy a new one. My trap is only a year old. What seems to be happening is that the trap catches the mice and throws them into the holding compartment where the mice should be stuck until I release them, but the mice can push their way out of this area, and I think that's where they get into trouble. The other day I caught 5 mice, and I set the trap aside for 20 minutes until I could take it out to the woods where I release the mice. When I came back for the trap tho, there was only one mouse inside. The mouse was stuck (in the center part of the trap) and had a smashed in head, and all the other mice had escaped. It seems that a mouse can push out of the holding compartment and get stuck, and his body will hold open a space for the other mice to get out. When it works this trap is awesome, I like that I can set it up anywhere and not worry about pets and chickens getting hurt. And it definitely traps mice. I was skeptical about it working with no food bait, but it does. Maybe I got a bad trap, but I'm disappointed that it is malfunctioning so badly after only a year. My biggest concern is that a mouse will get out when I'm moving the trap to release the mice, and I will be bitten by a mouse and need rabies shots.

Si funciona!
Excelente! Mi esposo batallaba con varios ratones en una bodega y usaba de todo pero nada servía. Esto fue lo único que le ayudó. Atrapa varios ratones a la vez.

Not the advertised brand.
This is a completely different brand and has a different top plate just as others have said. That said, i seems to be functional, though i may have to wait to test it since this was bought as i could my 5th and seemingly last mouse just as i bought it.

On the second time used the spring came loose and is now unusable. Not worth returning.
