Best low(ish) volume cymbals on the market.
While how good something sounds is always subjective, I can say without a doubt these are the best sounding low volume cymbals I've played. I've used both the L80 and Gen16 series and these are by far and away a million times better. That being said, they are a little louder than the above mentioned. The louder volume (still far quieter than regular cymbals) was a happy trade off for me. I use them with the Gen16 processor for both practice and live (lower volume situations) and they sound great.

Outstanding Low Volume Cymbals
I can only compare Agean low volume cymbals to Zildjian Gen16 both platinum and buffed bronze versions. By far hands down Agean is superior in everyway. Sound and feel is amazing. I did direct replacement of Gen16's with Agean not changing any settings on the sound processor and got in return a fuller more authentic sound. These cymbals resolved every problem and issue I had with the Gen16's. I have been disappointed with Gen16's from the very beginning with numerous issues too much to go into. Instantly Agean resolved it all!! They are expensive but worth every penny. They look good too. I wouldn't go as far as comparing them to full acoustic cymbal finish quality but keeping it in the same low volume ballpark, I have no issues with appearance. My electronic drums were always lacking in some way because of various cymbal issues. I can now say my electronic drums are now complete!!!

Such lousy Quality Control for the Price $$$
I cannot believe a company can allow an unfinished product like this hit the streets.First off, the finish product of these cymbals are the worst I've ever seen on a cymbal in my 35+ years of drumming. It looked like a 14yr. old kid took an angled grinder and tried to polish this thing. There are a lot of sanded "swirl" marks on all the cymbals in this set. Then as I was setting up all cymbals on the stands I noticed this dark haze on my fingers. At first I had thought it was from my rubber cymbals, but then I rubbed the agean cymbals, and YEP, it came from the cymbal finish. I then wiped the cymbal with a cloth [see pictures] and crude came-off cymbal surface. If that wasn't enough disappointments, I started seeing gold shavings on top of all my edrum equipment a couple days later. As if someone did not "deburr" the holes or possible just a horrible metal being used [again, see pictures].UNBELIEVABLE such a h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e quality product for the price I paid (over $650 dollars). I wouldn't expect this type of quality out of a $75 set of cymbals, let alone a set that coast over SIX HUNDRED-FIFTY DOLLARS.I did bump-up my Rating to 2-Stars for the sound. With the exception of the hi-hats, they do sound pretty good although a little loud for their purpose. Cannot believe the manufacturer would not take into account that musicians (at least - drummers) purchase equipment for 2 reasons "sound" & "appearance". If you don't mind "shavings" all over your set, and cymbals that look like they were "sanded with a disc grinder" and "spending a lot of money", then these cymbals are for you. For me, I'll stick with the cymbals that are 1/2 the costs of these.
