Water Bottle Pump - The Original Dolphin Manual Drinking Water Pump - Fits Most 5-6 Gallon Water Coolers [Excluding Glass]

I choose my title to emphasize that I did not have any shipping problems. It wouldn't surprise me if the owner of the company read the previous post and has made corrections to shipping. This is SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT I very highly recommend this to anyone. I get bottled water because sometimes the tap water does not taste right. I had bought a water dispenser that dispenses hot and cold water. I immediately regretted buying one of those devices becaue of the very slow water delivery. You have to bend down and hold your cup in position for a while, sometimes while operating the safety device for hot water. So, you have to hold your cup in one hand, and push those tiny buttons at the same time. THIS PUMP AVOIDS ALL THOSE PROBLEMS. The water flows very quickly out of the device. I don't even like drinking cold water, so I prefer that it not be refrigerated. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, I don't have to try to invert that huge 5 gallon bottle over an electic unit, trying not to get water all over the place. I HATE LOADING THE ELECTRIC UNITS! I also have a bad back and I'm female, I don't have the strength and have to ask hubby to do it. On the contrast, with the pump, you don't have to invert any bottles at all. And it is very easy to mount the pump. You just set the bottle on a counter and screw on the pump. I bought sturdy a 30" high wooden cabinet from Michaels. I think it cost $25 and I stained and sealed it. I can put my drink mixers in there, ie., lemonade, coffee, tea, etc. So it is easy to find a stand for the pump and bottle if you want one. I recommend the Michaels cabinet over any of the custom stuff bought on line. Regarding the quality of the pump, I've only had the product for 1 month now, but this pump seems very sturdy and it functions very well. Water comes out fast, minimal pumping required. It is easy to pump this pump.

This pump works awesome! It pumps out water at a very reasonable rate and without much effort. The tube goes all the way to the bottom but I do have to angle it slightly just because the jug is convex at the bottom but I'd still say a perfect fit. It's 100% manual which is what I wanted since I didn't want to have to charge something or replace batteries and if the world ends, this thing will still work :D I didn't like having the jug on the angled rack and it took up almost a whole counter. It was annoying. I also didn't want some large dispenser taking up floor space. This "lil" pump made for the perfect compromise with the smallest foot print possible and I have over 3/4 of my counter now. I have an AmericanMaid 5 gallon jug I gather came from Walmart (my girl's brother got it years ago). I also bought some caps off here specifically for it which do not work BUT this pump fits and seals proper. I only mention that since there have been some reviews about issues w/ the AmericanMaid jugs. 100% satisfied and I finally am willing to fill this 5 gallon jug and lug it to/from my car (things are heavy when they're full ) :D

I wanted a simple one, easy to clean, durable, no batteries and no cords. Also easy to connect to any 5 gallon jug. This one is great for all of that. It is heavy duty plastic and silicone. It seems large, but you have to keep in mind the air needs space too to work. Works on all 3 of my random jugs. 2- 5 gallon and 1-3 gallon. Takes about 4 pumps to get a full glass of water. I placed mine on a corner stand so it is at an easy height to press it down and hold the cup. Will eventually attach a silicone tube to the spout down to a cup height so that I can do it one handed when holding a child. Very reliable for those who don’t want an electronic one.

Its a good pump for the price. It's made of plastic and pumps out water easily. You can't pump it very fast or the tube in the center will come out or it might get stuck on one of the edges. It's an easy fix, but i woildn't sugest it for small childeren. I got a 5 gallon jug at wincow that has a slight bow at the top. It sometimes pope off whime i'm pumping. the screw on mechanism dosn't seem to do anything. the rubber keeps it suctioned on but it's not a tight seal. You have to pump it 5 or 6 times to fill up a glass of water, many more times if it more than half empty. It beats turning the bottle upsidedown. Overall I like it. It's like when you get a new used car. It looks awesome and works well until you get frustrated at the little things. Just be happy that it didn't cost much.

I brought this pump with me to camp in the desert for 9 days (at Burning Man). We went through 7 jugs of water, which sat in the sun in 110F temperatures during the day and cooled down to 40F at night. Even with the big temperature changes (which presumably caused pressure changes), we had no problems with the pump. Over the years, I've used at least half a dozen hand pumps and battery powered pumps. None were as easy or as reliable as this one. We mostly used the pump to fill our camelbaks, which require some dexterity to hold open, so it's important that you can pump one-handed and that the water squirts in the same direction while you pump. This pump was great. Pros: - Easy to install; take the plastic cap off the bottle, hand-tighten the crank and you're ready to go. - Easy to remove; untighten the crank. - Pumps with one hand - Pumps automatically after a few pumps if you hold down the top - just make sure you let go with some space in your container because it takes a moment to stop pumping when you release the button. - Consistent flow while pumping; no need to wiggle your container back and forth to catch the stream. Cons: - A couple of inches are left in the bottom. The bottle becomes easy to lift, so it's not too bad to pour it out unless you're trying to fit it into a small glass. - There isn't a great way to store it when you aren't using it. - Only works with the 5 gallon jugs, which have more expensive water than you can get out of your tap, etc.

Update: This is my 2nd Dolphin pump. I was so happy with the first one which I've been testing every day in the house for a few months that I wanted another one. I bought the 1st one for my airstream to have in the kitchen when not hooked up to water. I bought the 2nd one to have in the bathroom where I wanted a smaller 2 gallon jug. The pump fits and works just as well on both the 5 gal and the 2 gal jug. I've loaded a photo of both sizes so you can see how it fits. For the smaller jug I just had to saw off about 1 inch of the internal tube to fit. I'm extremely happy with the quality. First Review: A friend told me to get this because her son uses it when he travels and he loves it. It was exactly what I needed for my airstream, but when I read all the reviews I became skeptical of the quality. I decided to trust the feed back from the person I knew rather than the not to stellar reviews I read on Amazon.ca. I'm very glad I did, because I love it and it's solved so many problems for me. It arrived in good packaging, the pump quality is great and it has pumped water with a good consistent stream every time. I have not experienced anything negative with this water pump and I've been using it for everyday for several months now. I would definitely purchase it again.
