OceanTailer TraderLamp (TM) Sunlight Reading Floor Lamp 5 Feet

I love this product for the price and quality of the light.I do not like the way it has to be assembled. The wire for the light understandably runs through the entire hollow leg of the light. You have to connect three different sections of metal tubing to make the leg of the light. These are screwed together. There is extra wiring when you're finished screwing the leg together and I had to shove it up into the leg, which I'm sure isn't good for the wires.The screws in the leg are not very durable/deep and they come loose easily. I have to constantly move this light around my room and reposition the neck due to the nature of my work (I'm an esthetician and I do facials and waxing all day). I love that the neck is adjustable and that the light is light enough for me to move easily; however, the base is constantly coming unscrewed from the leg. It actually fell over one day during a service because the base had come unscrewed without me noticing it. I was in a dimly lite room because I was doing a brow wax, followed by a facial. I turned the light off to start the facial and bent the head down to get it away from my client and out of my way (again, one of the pluses of this product). The entire thing just fell over onto my client about 5 minutes later!!! It was scary!Overall, I still love this product for the amazing price and would buy it again if mine broke. I will deal with the issues that I have because of that. The lightbulbs last for a long time (it's been 6 months now and still going strong), but the replacement bulbs are expensive. I would shop around for prices.

I've been looking for a floor lamp for my walk-in closet because that's where I dry my hair and put on make-up. I sit on the floor in front of a full-length mirror and the ceiling light is dim and harsh. I wanted a short, adjustable, inexpensive lamp with flattering, natural lighting to fit into a very small space. This lamp is perfect. It's compact and gives off beautiful, bright white light and the bulb does not get hot. I can't speak for the longevity of it because I've only had it a couple of weeks but so far I'm thrilled. It's sturdy and the price is so right. I'd get one for the living room if it came in black but this off-white color is nicer than I expected, probably too nice for a closet. I agree with the other reviewers: a five star product.

While the box was packaged to prevent breakage, it was the messiest Styrofoam mess I've ever had unpacking a product. A thin layer of Styrofoam was over-taped and broke into hundreds of pieces when opening. Assembly seemed straight forward but I had difficulty feeding the extra wiring through the stand.The lamp gives off a good light and the neck is flexible as described. We'll see how long it lasts. Given the cheapness of the product, I think $19.99 would have been a better price.

I ordered 2 of these very moderately priced lamps and both arrived within a few days. I paid about $33.00 x 2 and they are well worth it. They are just right for standing behind the couch to turn on for reading. The light is brighter than a 100 watt but uses only a 27 watt fixture. Very nice lamps - easy to assembly and base is adequate so they aren't tippy. I would definitely recommend this product! Good product, works well, does what it says it will, and easy to assemble. Provides white light, not yellow light too. 5 stars product.

I ordered 2 lamps and one works fine. The other one does not work at all. I switched bulbs and the bulb is not the problem.I am frustrated now since I do not know who to report this issue to.My impression is that it is going to be difficult to return this lamp and get a replacement. I just started with this challenge, so wish me luck.

It works, but it blinks periodically when off.... I thought my eyes went wrong when I saw it blinking periodically when turned off, but my husband confirmed me it did. Other than that it's a fine lamp.

This lamp puts out a lot of natural even light, perfect for reading or reading music on a music stand. Be sure you hear a snap when you insert the 2-pronged bulb. Otherwise you may think its seated but it won't work. The base is heavy and the unit seems pretty well-made. It has been in use for a few weeks so I can't tell how it will do in the long run.

Absolutely no complaints here. This lamp is great! It is the perfect height for your bedside.The head flexes in pretty much all directions you could need it too, and I really like how bright it is. I also really like how solid the construction feels. It doesn't feel like it would topple over easily, and the stand is very strong. This was definitely a worth while purchase.

im using them now! Was blind as a bat before I got this and had tried several other brands that were rubbish - this is perfect bright natural light with a flexible positioning
