I threw these on a 2012 JK Unlimited. They're built pretty solid and coated real nice. The kit comes with decent instructions (enough to get by).A couple of things to note. First; You WILL have to drill into the side of your Jeep. TAKE YOUR TIME. Fit the pieces, mark your holes, center punch them etc. Make sure you read the instructions before you start dedicating a day to doing the project as it will take you a couple hours on each side once you have all the correct tools and get going. The drill bit that you need is a hard to find bit and took me a couple of days and miles of driving up here in Anchorage to find the specific one I need. Also, the JK has a couple sheets/layers to drill through on some parts, so be mindful of that. Silicone when installing the bits will help "seal" the holes.Second; The rivet nut insert "tool" they provide is utter GARBAGE. Seriously. The specific tool you need to go invest in (and trust me, you will want to buy this tool before you begin) is this one here: [...]Without this tool, you will be fighting to even try and get one rivet inserted. Don't waste your time and just buy it. I can't stress this enough. It took me 3 weeks to finally get my hands on one. No one in town, not even the Grainger store here carried this piece, so make sure you have one lined up. This is the only reason I gave this product 4 * instead of 5. They need to disclose this before you make the investment.As far as how they look; They look great! They add a nice, rugged look. As far as functionality? I'm not quite sure. They're pretty sturdy pieces of metal so i'm sure they'll protect the side for your Jeep a little, but I think they're more for cosmetic purposes.All in all. I think this was a good purchase. Although installation was a pain in the rear end, once you're finished with this meticulous project, you will be glad you bought them. Looks great!! Great product!! Followed all reviews that I read and purchased the tool that was recommended...absolutely works!!

This is a great kit and can ether be used alone or with the XRC armored fenders, but the only thing I didn't like was the finish and Hardware. If you make a kit that goes with the XRC Fenders then make it the same finish and hardware. I and going to have to paint and replace the hardware so that the system as a whole looks right. This wasn't very well thought out by Smittybilt.

No directions, extremely heavy on the frame, drilling to install was guessed , don’t buy

Body cladding looks awesome! As others have noted. Install was a pain. But love how it looks.
