This company develops supplements designed to support people with digestive and gut health issues. I have tried several of their products over the years, and in my experience, their formulas generally deliver as promised, depending on individual health needs. Enzymedica appears to invest in research and clearly understands digestive support. After using Lypo Gold consistently for about a year, it has become my preferred product. For me, it has been reliable, effective, and consistent with what the company claims it is designed to do.

If you have digestive issues THIS IS THE ONE!!! A few days after taking this you will notice your poop is solid like a log, that is a good thing as the body is able to break down the food and digest them more easily!

I have tried multiple brands of pancreatic enzymes and was even prescribed Creon for a while. The key difference between LypoGold and any of the competitors is that it contains high levels of lipase to help digest fats. This enzyme must be more expensive to produce or something as it's usually at much lower concentrations in other supplements. I take one of these prior to every meal together with some homemade kombucha and spoonful of sauerkraut and combined they greatly help with my digestion. I also recommend making your own Dr. William Davis prolonged fermentation yoghurt, it's a game changer.

I've been dealing with possible gallbladder problems and stomach problems for 5 years. Lots of below-sternum pain, throwing up and discomfort that lasted hours to days. It's been tough. Over the past month, I tried taking 1 pill (or opening up the capsule and taking 1/3 of the powder). I took it before my fatty meal at first. It seemed to work but inconclusive. What seems to be more conclusive: When a pain attack is about to happen (it is a familiar feeling), I immediately take 1/3 of a pill with water (I am short and skinny, so adjust as necessary). If I still feel unwell, I take another 1/3, and then another 1/3. I've experienced relief by doing this on at least 3 occasions like this, and I am extremely grateful for this temporary solution to my digestive problems. UPDATE: Inevitably, I had one failure when using this method above. When an attack comes, it's sometimes just impossible to stop. (Possible) Cons I've noticed that my feet swell (edema) sometimes after taking these pills. Coincidence or side effect, I am not sure. So I take these pills sparingly.

I am considering submitting a request for testing inquiry and even legal action as I spent months in pain and my insurance was charged 30K for all the tests my gastro did. The pain. mysteriously disappeared when I stopped taking this. When I restarted this supplement after long hiatus this year I realized the effect is undeniable and horrible. This company should be having a class-action lawsuit against them. I first ordered this supplement on April 18, 2020. Reading all the good reviews, I looked forward to reaping the effects of this enzyme. I do not eat too much fat, the normal amount I guess. Sowmtimes more, like with bread and butter, pasta or burger. But in the past I had some issues processing fat, would get acne and itchy scalp. Also, I had my gallbladder removed and this supplement claims to remove the discomfort of fatty foods but also to reduce cholesterol and improve cardiovascular health if taken on an empty stomach. I did not have elevated cholesterol but felt with the 40s, it might just happen. I took this as needed, sometimes with food and sometimes on empty stomach. It was part of my routine. Soon after starting this supplement, I started having issues: Pain in the upper quadrant with foods, bloating, burning lava-like pain (not heartburn or acid reflux) and diarrhea mixed with constipation. At some point, I started having pain even after drinking water. Now, I absolutely did not connect the dots. I thought I developed some new medical issues. Forward couple more months to Fall and I was now regularly avoiding food, for fear of pain. Healthy dinners like meat and vegetables would be no relief. I did best on a bit of bread or crackers. However, I looked fat and bloated most days...I have apparently gained about 15-20lbs since starting this supplement even if I ate less and exercised as usual. On top of it, my annual physical suddenly showed highly elevated bad cholesterol. (never ever had I any bloodwork issues and also, my diet in fact is even better than ever to prevent any gall issues) I am waking up in the middle of the night with hot lava rocks sensation flowing in my abdomen, backaches all day, headaches, insomnia, heartburn, bloating like I was 8 months pregnant. Belching, farting....On top of it, one day I just started having spontaneous diarrhea, 5-10 times a day, yellow oily stools, and all lasting for weeks. I got so worried (I never have diarrhea) and I went to see gastro...the best gastro in the area, a detective-like person, who does not give up easy. he said my stomach made sounds like there is always both liquids and gas. He did not understand why I had that hot lava burning as I did not in fact have heartburn or acid reflux...this was all deeper inside. But all tests come back normal, CT, MRCP, Ultrasound...endoscopy, colonoscopy. My pains pointed to the pancreas or liver but he ruled out any issues. Except now I have hemorrhoids from all that burning hell diarrhea and constipation. My doctor is at a loss. However he did tell me all these enzyme supplements are bogus marketing and very rarely do any of us here (unless malnourished) need any absorption help. He recommended just a basic bromelain enzyme that helps with fiber digestion and told me to stop all else as I am wasting my money. Though he could never predict it was this that was making me so sick. After lack of diagnosis and a couple thousand dollars hole in my pocket for all the procedures to investigate, I just gave up and decided to live with this pain...slowly it subsided. I got my energy back and was able to restart more normal life. Recently I realized, wait I have no issues anymore, what a mystery... Well, recently another bottle of Lypo gold arrived as for some reason I was on auto delivery, so I immediately canceled that and requested a return as I still had an unused bottle. Either way, I recalled that I had that elevated cholesterol last year and that maybe I should restart this lypo gold again because I have not taken any enzymes for a while...and they are supposed to be good for you :-) I kinda did not belive the doctors warning that it is all unnecessary. Well, I took it for couple days...and felt physically ill immediately. Again, I did not connect the dots because it was fairly mild, like bloating and a little burn. Then one day I took it again, with my meal and about 20 mins later, I am in severe pain, my stomach on fire, had to cancel work meeting, flaring back pain, could not get rid of this for hours. Had to walk it off, as sitting was unbearable and nothing helped. I drank ice water, tried ACV water, tried pepcid ac...it took about 5 hours to subside. I was slamming the food for the bad feeling but then....it dawned on me. What changed in the past week? What did I do differently today? I took LYPO GOLD....after months of no issues, this was now clear as day. LYPO GOLD is making me so violently and mysteriously unwell anytime I take it. I tested this couple more times since...just for the benefit of making an unbiased review....and then I started reading the one-star reviews here...and found an uncanny similarity. LYPO GOLD is DANGEROUS I am considering submitting a request for testing or inquiry and legla action as I spent countless days and nights in pain and my insurance was charged 30K for all the test my gastro did and still haven't found any physical issue.

$1500 worth of enteric-coated lies? Yeah, been there. My pancreas was like, “Thanks for nothing.” This stuff tho!!!! It actually works because it isn’t enteric-coated, it’s smart-released through the different pH during digestion, like nature and chaos intended. No junky fillers, no waiting games, and def no praying to the enzyme gods. Just pure, beautiful biochemical logic, which, hilariously, I had to figure out myself. Not my Ivy League GI doc. Lol. There is a national (& continuing) shortage of Creon, & rationing. This product is pricy, but as far as I am able to tell (differing units) It has similar amounts of enzymes. IE no point in buying a cheaper product with less in & with bulk fillers. It's vegetable rather than animal based. AFAIK Vegetable based products have not been tested / approved for prescription. Also doesn't state if it's coated to survive stomach acid to reach the gut. Don't care, works for me when short of prescribed medication.
