IRH INTERNATIONAL RIDING HELMETS Horseback Riding Safety Ergonomic Equestrian IR4G Helmet

I was looking for a helmet I could use for schooling that would also look nice for shows. Since helmets have to be replaced periodically and can degrade in storage, I didn't see a point in buying an expensive one for shows just to have it sit around most of the time. I needed something nice but not too expensive. I also have a large oval head and knew from past experience that finding a good fit would probably take some trial and error. I tried this and two other brands Trauma Void and One K. I found the Trauma Void to be far too round for my head with a huge chinstrap, but otherwise it seemed pretty nice. It did have a second liner, but it didn't really improve the fit much. I was able to order the One K defender in oval XL, and it is a beautiful helmet. It fit well, but for me personally seemed a little top heavy and maybe not as low profile as I wanted. The IRH 4G was perfect. Even though it doesn't come in an oval size, it fit me very comfortably, and it's profile was more flattering. It fits snuggly without digging in or leaving marks on my forehead. With the thinner liner, it fits my hair up if needed, it feels great on and looks classy. It has nice styling without being over the top flashy, so it'll be great for Hunter shows. If you're in doubt, try a few and see which is most flattering. Every head and face is different. This one is perfect for me. Thanks, IRH!

It is so rare that I write a review on something. I have been riding less than a year and I’m always worried about falls or something happening. Yesterday I took my first pretty good spill. Went right over the front of the horse and hit the back of my head on the floor of the arena. I felt like this helmet gave me peace of mind and protected my head well. It’s lightweight and looks beautiful. I’m glad I went with this. The only reason I’m taking off a star is because the velvety material is hard to keep clean

I can't justify spending hundreds of dollars on a OneK or Charles Owen, but this IRH looks just as sharp, is super comfortable, and was more in the budget. SO happy with this purchase!!

This helmet is amazing! My husband and I both have one. Fit is spot on, durable and stylish for schooling or at shows. (Dressage riders here)

This was exactly what was advertised. This is a replacement for a damaged helmet of the same model - helmet is very comfortable and sturdy.

do not buy from this manufacturer, Vtures!! I returned the helmet because it did not fit comfortably and still 1.5 months later I have not received credit for my return. Also it cost $35 to return, then they take 20% back for restocking fees. It is complicated contacting amazon to resolve this problem as well.
