Was a small problem with shipping (fedex fault, not company) I wrote the company and FedEx, company responded to make sure I recieved it. So their customer service is also 5 stars. Product is as described.

Actually thought this was a kit to be completed. Still loved by my grandson

There were two problems with this order: First, the quality is very substandard. The glass has numerous air bubbles and the overall quality seems very poor. Second, I ordered this product a week before Christmas with the assurance that I would receive it before Christmas. On Christmas Eve, I received an email that it was delayed. I sent a message to the seller & they never responded. When I checked the status, it had not even shipped yet. Very disappointing!

Very great looking model. It goes great with anyone's pirate or ship collection.

The product is good for a child, but to the eye of an adult it looks very cheap.The water on the bottom of the bottle is not resin or painted, its a hardened clay that cracked as it dried and still has the impressions from the tools used to put it in. The actual bottle is off-center on the base, the ship label was peeling but stuck when pressed back down. As you can see in the pictures the red seal on the bottle is just a blot of plastic, but has the rough shape of an anchor on it.All of the above would be fine were it not for all of the glue on the ship. It was hastily put together, with drips and smears and huge globs of glue. The body of the ship was painted in a gloss, but the sails have a cloth matte finish aside from the glue on them, creating an odd look that the ship is both wet and dry at the same time. The smaller flags are painted by hand decently, which is nice, but only on one side which would make it a poor decoration if you see it from any other angle than intended, such as if you put it on a desk. The base itself was chipped after the finish was applied, and feels very rough like it was not sanded. The lip of the bottle was chipped as well.It is not terrible. A child would absolutely love it. Someone who isn't that close to you would probably think its pretty neat.But most people could put together a better one by following a tutorial for about the same price, and if giving it to an adult friend or family member I'd recommend you consider it. But if you need a quick store-bought gift for someone who's into pirates or ships and you don't want to buy them a kit to put together themselves, then its a good one to go with.

I got this as a gift for my boss. It arrived in a nice box, so I wrapped it. When he opened the box, the bottle had a spider in it. The ship is covered in spider webbing.
