🐱💦 Where hydration meets whimsy!
The watering hole automatic fresh water fountain is a whimsical, functional and a great value. This great-looking indoor fresh water fountain provides a continuous flow of fresh, filtered water for your cats. And at a much lower price than other fountains on the market. Water streams out of the frog's mouth and can easily be set at 3 different flow levels. It comes completely assembled and is convenient, easy to use and easy to clean. Cats love the sound and action of water flowing. Research has shown that flowing water actually encourages cats to drink more, which is great for their health. Especially good for cats who consume more dry food as they need more water. Fountain comes with 2 active carbon filters. Each filter lasts 4 - 6 weeks depending upon the number of cats using the fountain. Fountain is not for outdoor use. Fountain is made of polypropylene. The frog is made of food-safe plastic resin. Capacity is 1.8-quarts/1.7 liters of water. For dog lovers, this fountain can also be used by small to medium sized dogs.

Motor did not work...Will try again - Update!
I must say this is one of the cutest fountains I've seen... Unfortunately the one that I received the motor does not work. I am returning it as we speak. I will be ordering it again to see if I have better luck with another one. Am hoping this just happens to be a lemon and the next will work fine. Will update this post when I receive the new one. To be fair, the packaging was damaged when I received it, so it may not be the manufacturer's fault.Update: The good news...So, I received the new fountain today and just finished setting it up. No doubt about it...it's adorable. I love how easy it is to clean, how light, but sturdy it is. Yes, the new motor worked just great! This one had no sign of damage to the box so I think that may have been the issue. My cat absolutely loves drinking from the stream and sticks her big fat paw under the stream and licks her paw. Silly cat. The bad news....the fountain is loud! It sounds like a clock alarm on low volume. I've double-checked the water level, I've put a towel between the fountain and lilly pad, I've put it on a towel directly on the floor to try and dampen the sound, but it's just plain annoying. If I keep it, I'll have to unplug it at night and whenever I'm in the room. Otherwise, I will have to look for a different fountain. Am disappointed! I am a real frog lover and this was perfect for me and my cat. I believe the noise is just the vibration of the motor against the plastic housing. Wish I had better news, but thought I should share my experience.

Not a good buy.
I bought this a year ago for my cat. First, the good news. It's cute. It was very cute watching my kitty drink from the little frog's mouth. And she seemed to enjoy it. I see other reviews had trouble with the motor. I've been able to keep mine running, but the water basin has to be completely full and over the line. I have to fill the basin and let the motor run and then pour more water in. And it stops working the second it goes below the line. But, I digress; the motor still runs a year later. The bad news. I knew it was plastic. My other cat fountains are plastic. But for some reason, this one is harder to clean than the others. The water calcifies and does not easily come off. Second, there are two basins. The bottom one and a little basin that the frog sits on. The water collects in that smaller basin and doesn't go through filtration. Then there is a frog, which has one tube through it. First, one of the legs broke off during a very routine cleaning. No problem. It still worked. But then I noticed that the inside of the frog (around the tube) was hollow and that water was collecting inside. I couldn't get the water to come out, which means there is stagnant water inside the frog. When I washed the frog, I then noticed there was soap in that water. I've had to throw thew frog away because I don't want to risk my cat's water being possibly contaminated.Very inexpensive and cute. But I wouldn't buy it again or recommend it to anyone else.

Best fountain I've found for my cats!
I have a couple of cats with constipation issues from not drinking enough water. I had a raindrop fountain, which helped to entice them to drink more water but one still wanted to drink from the kitchen faucet and the raindrop was a bit difficult to clean, as well as a black base that made it hard to know if the water needed to be changed. So when it was time to replace it, I thought this one might be a bit better. I'm over the top delighted with my purchase. I call it our froggy fountain. One of the two cats sits and drinks water for a long time, loving the water stream. The other one is beginning to drink from it rather than the sink bowl and after drip from the faucet. I'm certain that he'll eventually be just as enthusiastic about it, since he is spending more and more time at the fountain. Also, the fountain is extremely easy to clean and easy to see when the water needs changed with the white base. Have to admit that I'm filling it about 3 times each day. The other one I filled once daily. All my cats are loving this better than the normal bowl of water that is also available for them, which I'm hoping I can get rid of soon.

Honestly - don't buy this
I only gave this two stars because it is super cute. Otherwise it is a total waste of money and deserves one star.First off... The motor in this thing is LOUD. And I am talking scared my cat away LOUD. Glad I bought this to encourage his water drinking and instead I think the one day I tried to get him accustomed to it I just succeeded in scaring him away from water for a good week. Owner fail.I think the main problem is the water fountain in right in the middle of the only portion of the bowl that your pet can actually drink out of, so they tend to get splashed when trying to get to the water. I just turned the thing off and let him use it as a regular water bowl. But even THAT was a problem because, this dish is ridiculously hard to clean... The shallow gates to keep the fountain in place mold and I had to take a towel edge to try and get in there to clean it. Nothing quite like pinkish-orangeish mold that you cannot wash out to get your cat to start drinking enough water.Moral of the story is: the cute frog watering dish went off into recycling & my cat got his regular old water bowl back. I would have been better off shredding my cash into litter for him than spending on this - at least then it would have gone to some sort of use.

Cute
The little motor on this guy is really loud compared to the other fountain I had. I like it because it is a smaller size and still provides more than enough water for my kitty...in fact way more water than necessary. I find that for the fountain to work properly it has to be full almost to the top, which ends up wasting a LOT of water.I love the little frog, but wish it was a solid color now that I have it in person. Comes with two filters, which seem to make a difference in how the motor runs, but I live in a very dusty area and seeing how much the filter pulls out of the water justifies using it for me.
