Great little device!!!
First of all I would like to debunk all of the negative feedbacks this wonderful little weather station has received. It seems to me that the biggest complaint is on the barometer not working"right out of the box". I too had that assumption when I first began using it. It was reading 29.18 when my other units,(both analog and digital) were reading 29.91 or close to it and the weather service agreed with my other unit's readings. I went back and reread the instructions and found that the reading from the unit isn't the pressure reading we are all used to seeing. It is measured in ABSOLUTE not RELATIVE pressure. For those of you that don't know the difference,(I was one until I did some further research) here is the difference:Absolute PressureAbsolute barometric pressure is a comparison of how much pressure is exerted by the atmosphere compared to a vacuum, a space where there are no gases at all. The air pressure in a vacuum would be zero, since there are no gases to exert pressure on objects. Absolute barometric pressure is used primarily in scientific studies and industrial applications requiring precise data. Measurements known as "corrected barometric pressure" are used in most other applications, like weather reports.Relative PressureRelative air pressure is known as corrected barometric pressure. It is a measurement of how much pressure an air column would exert at sea level. To determine corrected barometric pressure, an absolute air pressure measurement is taken, along with an altitude measurement. The relative air pressure of that column is the amount of air pressure it would exert at sea level, if it remained at a constant pressure all the way down. It is sometimes called relative pressure because it reports pressures relative to sea level. : http://www.ehow.com/about_6694724_absolute-vs_-relative-barometric-pressure.htmlOther than that, I find ABSOLUTELY,(pun intended) nothing wrong with this unit. The remote module works as advertised and all of the other readings are great as well. The only complaint I might have is with the silly icon of a dude with varying modes of attire. Completely unnecessary.

Great to know indoor and outdoor temp
This is my second. First one lasted two years. It is great, tells you moon phase sunrise sunset, time weather inside and outside and humidity. Cute fisherman too!

Almost Perfect for What I Wanted
I was replacing an old atomic clock/weather station that I left when I sold my house. Didn't realize I couldn't go out and buy the exact same thing.I did not need or want to be able to read it from across the room. If you want that, there are lots of models like that. It’s much harder to find a small, unobtrusive device. Mostly I want to check the weather outside to decide how to dress. If I'm off work, it helps to find out what day it is.I don't care at all about the fisherman aspect. I even had plans to cover him up but I got used to him being part of the display. I was pleased to gain humidity readings, both indoor and outdoor. I don’t pay any attention to the barometric pressure, so can’t speak to that.I put both the home station and the sensor side by side to check the accuracy and the in/out temps were close but not exact. I think it says somewhere that the margin of error is 2 degrees, so don't expect NASA accuracy. When I first bought this, I was temporarily in an apartment with an ancient thermostat and was glad to have a way to check the setting. All in all this unit has features you would usually have to pay much more to get. When I first got it I thought the display quality was horrible. Then I discovered that it is designed to be sitting on a shelf or table and viewed in a downward direction, so placement definitely affects readability. I would have preferred a unit that could hang on the wall, but I didn't find anything that came near this one concerning price, appearance, size, and features. The snooze light-up function works good enough for me; my last one didn't light up at all so this is an improvement and not a dealbreaker for me.My only complaint is that the daylight savings time setting does not function properly. It does not change automatically when the time changes, or it does so belatedly, so that I change it manually then a week later my time is off again and I have to change it back. I have now turned the DST setting to “off” because it’s just easier to change it myself. All in all, I am happy enough with this unit that I bought a second one to keep on a different floor of my home. I have moved several times in the last few years and sometimes I have used 2 base units with a single outdoor sensor. Other times I have used each pair separately with sensors in different locations to get around the effect of direct sun.I bought the first one in Oct. 2018 and the second in March 2019, and I made some edits to my review in Nov. 2021, so this is all accurate after having owned these for 2 1/2 and 3 years. I would probably rate them 4 1/2 if I could.

Hard to read!
I was disappointed in this La Crosse fisherman's weather clock. Very hard to read. I would not buy. I have to pick it up to be able to read. Light does not help. Do not waste your money! I called La Crosse for help and the person was very rude and a real a h .

Nice display of relevant weather conditions. Works as advertised. Would buy again.
Product does what it is advertised to do. It has the information I need: battery only, indoor-outdoor temperature and humidity, time.Uses battery power only. AC is not required as with the color screen models. It can be wall mounted with some engineering, see photos of mounting to a mirror notice the notch and shortened end preformed with a sharp Xacto knife. Works in my situation. Mounted near a slamming door the mount might be non-secureMoon phase is inverted. White on the Moon is black on the screen. Tech support tells me that is the way the non-color screen work.Remember the humidity information is a monitor not expense weather station quality. It is good enough for how to dress today.Fisherman is a gimmick so buy another model if it is not your thing. The body does not change. Sleeves and pants legs come and go based on the outdoor temperature.3M Command Strips: 17001-VP-6PK & 17067-MPES.
