Excellent quality. Board is extremely durable and is washable. It lays perfectly flat every time no matter how I fold / crumple / roll it up (right now I have it folded in half and then rolled up to fit inside a pencil pouch with my pieces). It is very thin and handles similarly to a thick piece of cloth. Only downside is that it grips the pieces, making it nearly impossible to slide them. This was expected since its made out of silicone and I haven't played any time control games so this hasn't been a problem.

this is a very foldable and self-healing of tiny pokes. it got needled by kitty paws. I didn't like that it has a sticky feel at first when pulled out of the packaging but I fixed that by dusting it with some baby powder. I think I should have ordered a bigger board for 6+ inch pieces. my pieces are really big but overall I really love this board.

I love this thing. Just absolutely love it. You can wad it into a ball for storage and it'll lay perfectly flat. No obnoxious seams or curling during play. Just run it under the tap to clean it. Colors are crisp and don't wear off, period. Same size as your standard roll up and comes pre-marked with chess notation along the sides. Best chess purchase I've made since my beloved Drueke magnetic chess set 20 years ago (which I still have and treasure - it's unbeatable for travel chess sets. 1000x better than any other magnetic set you'll ever find). The only thing I can fault it on is stuff like cat hair tends to stick to it a bit more. But who cares? Like I said just rinse it under the tap. And honestly it's not that it's sticky, it's just foldable and roll up mats are so slick. Plus the price is great and absolutely worth it. I'm so happy I bought this and if you're on the fence, trust me you won't regret this little jewel. Doubly so if you travel with your chess set. Either way this board is amazing.

Some of my texture sensitive kids HATE the feel and sound of this board. If this is going to be your only board in a classroom, rethink it. It's otherwise fine and i like that it stays in place. My Ausie kid despises this and will not play on it.

I like this chess mat for it's portability. It lies flat, grips the table and is easily stored by either rolling it up or folding it. It's also easy to clean when needed by just wiping it down with a wet cloth and mild soap.

I am returning this item because it was not printed correctly. The actual board squares were rotated 90 degrees from the correct orientation to the rank and file letters and numbers. As a result, the bottom right square is black instead of white, as it must be. In addition , the rank and file letters and numbers are reversed. O

All good on product and vendor shipping - and price. I love that it rolls up for storage and lays flat when used. My guests have commented on how nice it looks. Am going to order another one for a custom chess set I am making. John
