The Bourbon Street Band Is Back (Shankman & O'Neill)

My 7 month old likes music and books. I fell upon this book and thought it would be a cute addition to our library. The cover made me excited about the illustrations inside.Received the book and got a sweet surprise. An autograph from the main character :)Such a tiny gesture that means so much to us. This book is for sure one we will keep forever. So special!My son and I really enjoy the book, Thank you!

What a terrific book! If your a fan of Shankman & O'Neil books you have to have it. If your not a fan and you have kids, you should buy it. If you don't have kids, you should buy it anyways cause even as an adult it makes me smile.I bought a copy for my sons and after reading it to them for the first time they loved it, illustrations are amazing!) I immediatly went next door and gave it to my neighbor. She and her little girl (age 4) are from New Orleans. I knew they'd love it and they did! Then I went back onto Amazon bought another copy for my house and sent a third to my mother who is a preschool teacher in CT.Great job Shankman & O'Neill, keep the great books coming!

I first saw this book in the children's museum downtown and had tears in my eyes reading it! I kept that copy and have since bought it for every friend with a child that gets the amazingness that is New Orleans!This book addresses an emotional life changing event delicately but respectfully and appropriately for children at the same time.I cannot say enough great things about this book despite never thinking I'd be raving about a children's book!

Great book, Illustration and rhyme scheme.

Cute story about a band that came together as friends in New Orleans. Fun, bright illustrations. I Purchased this as a giveaway for young relatives at a family reunion.

Cute book! If you or your kids are into music, animals and New Orleans - this book is perfect! My first grader loves it!

One big problem! Lacks a plot! Why did the band leave? Why did it come back?

This book is a wonderful tribute to the ongoing recovery in New Orleans for both children and adults. The illustrations are fabulous. Music is so important to children and this book demonstrates its enduring legacy. The whole series of books by Ed Shankman are fabulous. Grammy LC

We ordered this book as we read "I met a moose in maine one day" until we burnt through the pages. This one they liked it...a little... not as big a hit as the moose. But I still really like it a lot!
