Robot Builder's Bonanza, 5th Edition 5th Edition

As this book is a 'reference book,' it is hard to rate it soon after it is received. However, as I have all four of the previous editions, I can say that this one is the best. All were well written, yet this one stands out with up-to-date information, very good graphics and good writing. Gordon McComb 'knew his stuff' and it shows in this last of his series. He is no longer amongst us, but his series of books will forever be guides to experimental and hobbyist robot builders. I would gladly recommend this book to any robot builder, no matter the individual's technical experience.

The author is very meticulous and his explanations are helpful. I plan to purchase more of his books. He covers basics so well even a master can learn.

It’s a great resource book. I’d give it 5 stars if the author updated to include all the methods for incorporating 3D printing which had taken over from the wood and metal work the book touts.The book could be more valuable if viewed as a compendium of maker techniques for working with various materials.

I got the 5th Edition of RBB as a Christmas present from my wife. It is an extensive, wonderful, well written, and very up-to-date revision. (I have every edition.)The introduction by Gordon’s wife is moving, loving, and thoughtful. Gordon truly was a true friend and good writer.This book will be a treasure to me, many here, and a new generation of robot builders!

Well written, reasonably well edited, well ebooked. Probably not suitable for a teen who has not had algebra and either chemistry or physics.

I am not sure how useful this is for anybody who actually is building a robot.

Tengo la 3a edición de este libro y haciendo una comparación, hay una diferencia notable en las tecnologías que se describen, considerando que no existían tarjetas como arduino o raspberry pi. Tampoco estaban muy difundidas las impresoras 3D o los CNC personales.Teniendo todo esto a la mano, las posibilidades son muy amplias y considero que al libro le falta adentrarse más en los temas que trata.
