Theory Women's Betty Urban Shift Dress

This dress was about 2-3 sizes too small. Label said 10, but I have size 6 dresses that fit better. Additionally, it is too short for a work environment - not to mention the slit in the back. Overall fabric seems thin, but I returned the dress right away, so not sure how it would do after an 8+ hour workday. I generally really like Theory products - this was not one of them.

I'm 5'2", 112lbs and wear a size 2. I sized up to a 4 (theory runs small) & was definitely not tall enough. The top of the dress was actually baggy and did not lay flat. I think you would need to be at least 5'6". The dress was nice, but I think it was overpriced. It was the same quality as a banana republic or Ann Taylor dress. I have to return.

Fit strangely

I dont know why this has less than 5 or 4 stars. I bought this at the Theory store a year ago and came online today to look for it in another color to add to my collection. It's a great suit. It is chic, professional, and well-fitted. I've worn this on successful interviews and work events. I have it in navy and it has become a work staple in my industry in finance. Keep in mind Theory runs more like European or maybe even Asian sizes, narrower fit, than American sizes. It is just how it runs. The same is true for some other brands, of course. You just have to be familiar with your size in different brands. I'm a 2 in a Theory dress, 0 for jacket size, and, for example, Banana Republic doesn't fit me. Ie, Boss and Zara's have narrower cuts as well.

Like the other reviewer, I also had to return this dress. The fabric was too lightweight for the cut and/or to fit well. I usually expect a higher quality from Theory.

Have this dress from 1 yr ago, have worn for successful job interviews and other occasions which call for a great suit with the Gabe blazor by theory. Sized small so buy bigger than you think, but beautiful dress.
