Nestle Carnation Evaporated Milk, 5 OZ (Pack of 1)

I use evaporated milk for so many recipes that I never want to be out of a supply. And not one dented can in the bunch. That is fantastic. This is a fantastic price for it. It is so handy to have on the shelf. If I run out of cream for my coffee I grab a can of this off the shelf. Gravies, sauces and cream soups are just a few good reasons to have it handy. Plus, French toast egg custard is nice and thick and doesn't drip all over the place when you're slipping dipped bread slices into the skillet. We used to use this in our homemade fudge too. Now if I could just find cream cheese for the old timey prices. Oh well. Can't have everything.

This is a great additive to make good old fashioned egg creams. The texture is perfect, easy to use, and has a long shelf life. My husband loved this milk.

During these uncertain and WEIRD times, it's good to have some of this canned evaporated milk on the shelf. We have severely limited our trips out, but sometimes you just gotta have something for dinner that requires milk and you don't want to make a trip out to the store. A couple times when one of us has gone to get groceries, the fresh milk was gone! We're not milk drinkers, but I have found this has a better taste in recipes than reconstituted powdered milk (which I also keep on hand). I've diluted the canned milk according to the directions on the can (equal parts canned milk and water), and used it to make biscuits and gravy, macaroni and cheese, cakes, biscuits, "creamed" soups, etc. When a recipe calls for half and half or cream, I'll use milk instead to lower the fat content somewhat, and it's easier on my digestive tract than straight cream. It's come in handy!

The can should have been larger.

This is good can milk had two Damage cans but wasn’t linking so I think it’s OK. I’ll use it first.
