Hat Rain Protector

Used it for the first time during a rain shower. Kept my hat dry. Fit was accurate

I bought the medium size for this 7” crown top hat! It fits SUPER TIGHT but, large would be too big, as can be seen in the photos! These protectors simply are not made for top hats! More difficult to put it on than I’m interested in! Unable to contact seller prior to purchase! The material stretches with force but, I will likely trash it soon because I’m not interested damaging my hat while attempting to protect it!!!! The material is the best, due to the its ability to stretch!! Fast shipping and well packaged! I REALLY LIKE this protector, it just doesn’t fit my hat!! I DO RECOMMEND this seller and product if you have a “regular style” cowboy hat!!!! If I am able to get ahold of the seller I will add an update!! I don’t understand how my hat size fits the equation to determine the correct size of protector! I do understand the relationship of the size of the crown and brim!! Happy Trails

I always wear sun protection when outside hiking or trail running. I usually wear a ball cap with a neck skirt (draping fabric which hangs from the back of the hat). I decided to give a wide brim hat a try for hiking, walking only (wouldn't really work for running). After quite a bit of research, I selected this hat. It looks like a cowboy hat on my head. The brim is curved like a cowboy hat would be. That's not necessarily a bad thing just something very different for me. I wore the hat on a hike in Death Valley and it was comfortable and performed as expected. I do wish it had an optional neck skirt but I might be able to make my own. I only gave it 4 stars because of my own perception that it's out of place walking on a city trail/street AND it isn't waterproof. I actually bought a cowboy hat rain cover so I can use it in the rain when hiking in Europe next year. So far, I'm happy with the hat... let's see if I can get used to it.

Does what it's supposed to. Used it for one rainy season. No sign of wear or problem. Hat stayed dry.

Fit my 7 3/8" hat like a glove. Walked around in a light rain for about 2 1/2 hours. Hat was nice and dry.

Medium fits my hats the best. Large is too large.

Speedy delivery in 3 days! Arrived 3 days earlier than estimated. My great quality and construction (and low price) vinyl hat protector fit my sun hat perfectly. My hat crown is 4.5" H and 27.5" around the base of the crown. The 4" down-sloping brim is 23"L front to back over the crown, and 22.5"W side to side over the crown. Size X-Large fits beautifully, with 1-2" tucked under the brim. It does not pull my down-sloping brim out of shape. I don't know how it would work on up-turned brims. We are heading to Scotland and random rain showers. I plan to buy another.
