This ROCKS With Nice Features!
It should be made clear right away that in order to get a 3D 'effect'; you need two of these speakers; one a master and one a slave. Then you have one speaker as the left channel and the other as the right channel. Alone, it produces stereo sound, but not as separated as in having two speakers. The sound is very good used this way. With one speaker the sound is a notch above other Bluetooth speakers as it has some inner features missing in other Bluetooth speakers. The unit has two 1-1/2" speakers (stereo) in the front and the back helps get the lower sounds even if there is no real subwoofer here. The output is what really sets this apart from most Bluetooth speakers. It is 6 watts which is about double what most supply, giving you a richer sound (not necessarily louder). When I placed the speaker at full volume and my Smartphone at full volume, there was no distortion, but it was enough to fill a room. The separation between highs, mid-range and bass were subtle but rich enough for use with a computer or even outside. Play time of six hours is fairly good for a Bluetooth speaker, but that depends on how loudly you play your speaker. I play it loud, so 3-4 hours of play time is my experience. The Bluetooth range is about 80-feet instead of the usual 33-feet, which is a good solid feature. If you project through walls, that distance will shorten, but how often do you have your Smartphone that far away from the speaker? It's simply a reflection of the high quality of the unit. The look is sleek with buttons on top that light up when in use. That is a huge plus, considering lighting is important when trying to correct volume, fast/reverse song or pairing (which it does easily and quickly). It also has NFC capability (Near Field Communications). From the internet, this is how it is explained: "(NFC), a contactless, Wi-Fi-lite style tech that could already be in your Smartphone, and could soon be a regular feature of your commute. At its core, all NFC is doing is identifying us, and our bank account, to a computer. The technology is simple. It's a short-range, low power wireless link evolved from radio-frequency identification (RFID) tech that can transfer small amounts of data between two devices held a few centimeters from each other.Unlike Bluetooth, no pairing code is needed, and because it's very low power, no battery in the device being read. By tapping your phone on a contactless payment terminal in a shop, train station or coffee shop is able to identify your account (and even your personal preferences, shopping habits and even your most frequently travelled route home) and takes payment through an app on your phone".That's a nifty little feature becoming more common. This is a nice little speaker. Product supplied for an honest review.
