Judy Moody: Around the World in 8 1/2 Days

Judy Moody has been a great reading inspiration for my daughter. She loves these books and they have really cemented (I hope) her love of reading. I like them as a parent too, since Judy Moody is a good role model (mostly) while still being an authentic kid and fun to read about. (I do not like Junie B. Jones because I don't feel she is rude and overly dramatic., IMHO) I also like the way she interacts with her brother, Stink. So glad there are more Judy Moodys and books about Stink too!

I purchased the set of Judy Moody (books 1-6) for my six year old Granddaughter. She is an an avid reader and simply loved these books;as soon as she had finished this set of books she was asking if there were more books in the series. She related well to Judy'feelings, escapades and experiences and enjoyed talking to her family about the books. I'm hoping that the next books (7&8) keep her as interested and enthusiastic about reading as the first ones did.

I am a huge fan of Judy Moody,I started reading the books in 1st Grade and now I am going into 5th,I am a very experienced reader,and I am often expected to read very effective books but I still find myself reading this series along with Junie B Jones for when I feel like I need a little laugh! My 5yo and 6yo love Judy Moody. Even I enjoy reading them. My son says he didn't like this one because Judy's friends were mean, but I think this was a realistic interaction. Sometimes friends have a fight. In the end, they made up.

A great, entertaining and humorous story/series! We love this book and enjoyed reading it. My 10 year old daughter who hates reading absolutely loves these books. The topics covered are fun, interesting and relevant to young people. The illustrations are great fun also.
