Nice
These actually produce a noticeable difference in visibility. I’m very happy with them. We live in a rural area that gets very dark. These perform well.

Not bad
Nice shade of yellow. Could be stronger.

These are the end-all bulbs for rural driving
I have a JK Wrangler and since the day I took delivery in 2007 I have been disappointed with the headlights. I live deep in the Pacific Northwest woods and during Winter nights under overcast sky it is pitch black driving conditions. The original lights were so poor I felt like 45 mph was the maximum safe speed regardless of the road conditions. After a few years of suffering the factory light bulbs I upgraded to "Off Highway Only" xenon white 100/80Watt bulbs about 6,000 degrees Kelvin color temperature. These bulbs have a very feint blue tint but nothing like more common 'blue' bulbs I see. That blue color is absorbed by everything organic - foliage, fur, etc. However, eye-shine, road signs and lane stripe paint reflect very well. Also the sharp blue hue dazzles oncoming drivers easy so I had to aim the lights lower than normal so as the low beams went completely into the road 50 yards ahead and the lower edge of the high beams sat on the horizon. Peripheral illumination with these lights was non existent and I have been surprised by deer darting onto the road countless times, (and nailed a couple too).Last week one bulb burned out after a few years of service which brings me to these Wagner NightDefense bulbs. I purchased these bulbs because the sales literature says this color combination is designed for rural driving conditions. AND HOW! I think the median color of these bulbs is about 4000K. I can see all the foliage along the roadside and tell the difference between needles and leaves and fur lurking in the brush. The peripheral illumination is fantastic as well. I can see deer in the pastures and fields 45 degrees to either side 100 yards away. And I was able to raise the aim of the headlights without dazzling oncoming drivers. My buddy is a Sheriff's Deputy and I had him judge the lights as we made a couple of head-on passes on the highway. He says they are definitely "Yellow" but nothing he would find out-of-place and they do not dazzle his eyes like the blue tint does. The only reason I do not give five stars for these bulbs is the layered colors do not match up between both headlights. The driver's side bulb has a much stronger yellow than the passenger side when viewed head-on. And from the driver's seat I see a 5' wide blue spot on the road about 20 yards out. With that said I will keep using these bulbs in the future. I was looking into upgrading the entire headlight assembly, which is popular with the Wranglers, but now I am good to go with the factory lights and these bulbs.

I'm a fan, use them almost every weeknight.
I actually like them, have bought two sets even. My lifestyle finds me out all night, almost every night of the week. I even use the H1's as my fog lamps. And they are very bright. It is different than white light and easier on the eyes of the driver. They have a tri color, rainbow color if you look at the lens. I suppose it's mostly up to you own preference. I have no problem with the brightness, can actually see better. And farther on high beam. Seem to last about the same as regular halogens. If your lens is foggy I would not suggest these. It will make a big difference, I wouldn't be surprised if that is a big problem with the other people saying they have problems. The rainbow look is only on the lens of the headlights. Not cast out in front.

Died Fast. Interesting Color, Quite Bright
Update: one of them lasted only 6 months and 5,000 miles. Won’t be buying again.I use these with my LS430's bright/DRL lights. The original bulbs still worked after 20 years but, boy, where they tinged a dirty gross yellow and not very bright anymore. These are really quite interesting - they have a sort of "clean yellow"-ness to them but if you look at another angle they reflect a sort of blue. They're certainly brighter than my old original lights. I kind of wanted a clean yellow because, believe it or not, I prefer my brights (and fog lights) to be yellow (works better with my eyes) and I definitely got it.

Bulbs not as advertised
After reading the bulbs description , I bought these bulbs expecting a big difference. I could barely tell thedifference from the standard bulbs I took out. They were only slightly brighter. The price wasn't bad if you need bulbs but don' t expect a big difference.

Better than factory OEM bulbs
Well, it's been a while since I purchased these bulbs, 4 years in fact. I picked these up for my 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 650r to replace the original factory bulb (low beams!) and have enjoyed them from the start. They have a slight yellowish hue which really lights up your path. The first thing you'll notice, besides the yellowish hue, is the distance this bulb reaches out to, much further than factory! Living in the beautiful state of Wisconsin there are many back and side roads to explore and at night without the proper lights the element of danger increases. I have been riding now for the past 4 years when today I noticed that my low beam had blown. The most difficult thing was remembering where I put the extra bulb! Well worth the cost and again 4 years of riding time off one bulb I would say is cost effective! Why trust your safety to an inferior bulb, Ride confident with Wagner NightDefense lighting your way!

Ok but not bright enough.
Works ok but not as bright as advertised but no complaints about the service which is why it got a 4 and not a 3
