I bought two of these candles around the holidays. One of them arrived shattered. I asked for another candle to be sent, included a photo of the item, and it never was. Apparently, I needed to return the item first. Sorry, but I'm not paying to ship broken glass. These candles aren't inexpensive! I've purchased many candles from the Himalayan Trading Post and this is the first problem I've had. I do believe that the product is worth the price although I wish they burned a little longer. Tobacco bark is my FAVORITE scent. It's the perfect combination between a feminine and masculine smell. I have terrible allergies and many candles and incense aggravate my eyes and sinuses, not the HTP brand. It's probably a scent that works best in the fall and winter. But, I still burn it year round. Other than the customer service snafu (which was most likely amazons fault), irritating as it was, I highly recommend these candles.

I tried 3 and so far this is the best
so far the best of 3 i tried: tobacco/bark and campfire need to be stronger. you have to put your nose right up to it to smell. if i'm paying this much for a scented candle it needs to have a scent that lights up a room, otherwise i'd just buy plain beeswax candles. I would send these 2 back except for the fact it's a small local business and i want to support them. the mistletoe is so fragrant you can smell it while opening the box and it's super strong with a sweet fir type scent. really awesome.

I don't even like candles and I love these
I don't even like candles and I love these. They're very beautiful. I find most candle scents offensive, but I'm a huge fan of the patchouli ginger and the tobacco bark. These also burn slow and last for a long time. Only issue I've had before is that the wick was too close to the glass in one candle I had, which made the glass crack. Not sure if that's a universal problem or if it was a one-time issue.

Everyone who visits comments on the fragrance
Literally everyone, including a plumber, an electrician and delivery guy, comment as soon as they walk into the house and ask where we buy it. This is the absolutely perfect fragrance for our home. It isn't flowery or musky or smell like one of those ghastly grocery store sprays that try & fail to mimic natural scents. This one reminds us of a spa. Buying more today and getting extra to keep on hand as a host/hostess gift.

Beautiful candle with a lovely fragrance
I just love these Himalayan Trading Post candles. My favorite is โAncient Philosophy,โ but I also like this one very much. The containers are beautiful and are a nice decorative touch even unlit. In fact, the containers are so nice I am reusing them after the candle is gone. I put them in the freezer and then pop out any remaining wax. They work nicely for flower arrangements or for pouring your own candles.

Synthetic stink
I bought this mainly for the glass as I make my own soy candles (not for sale, so I'm not competing) with only essential oils. But this stinks and there is no way this is scented naturally. It stinks of heavy synthetic perfume. If you don't know natural scents you may like it. But to me it stinks. The glass is gorgeous though.

The real deal
Finally, a real Himalayan candle! Smells amazing and disperses really well. Just wish it burned a little longer. Only lasts me a week or so :/

Wonderful, but not patchouli.
I just found these candles and love them! I am a patchouli snob, but found this to be a littlemore floral than most patchouli's. Still very nice, but sweeter and not as earthy as the Sacred Templescent, which I find to be more patchouli than the Ginger Patchouli.
