There is a review somewhere on here that says the shelf will not fo well on a plasterboard wall. Now bearing this in mind I bought two legs to help support this.I measured up, drilled the correct sized holes for the plugs and screwed in the supporting pegs, which are a considerable length. Now, in a plasterboard, the wall the plugs provided are not fit for purpose. Even with supporting legs I would say that they need replacing, something I will do at a later date. The actual shelf is of fantastic quality, which is why it gets five stars. If I was to provide a review for the fitments it would be C+ must try harder, but a decent DiYer will crack it, no problem.

We purchased a fireplace shelf, 2 smaller shelves for TV equipment and the hairpin side table. The pieces are all of fantastic quality and look stunning in our newly decorated room (no carpet yet as you will see on pics). They really are excellent items.

This shelf was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately I live in a new build flat which means all the walls are plasterboard and this shelf is not made for plasterboard walls (as a floating shelf - you are able to buy metal brackets, it's just not what I wanted).Absolutely gutted I've had to send it back because its good quality, strong, solid wood.

This was a great find and purchase, arrived within 5 days and packaged well.Great that the adjustable fittings came with it and it took minutes to fit once we’d measured up on the wall we wanted it fitting.Family were that impressed that they have ordered direct with company for other products.

Purchased this shelf via Amazon as it looked good quality and past reviews from other buyers were goodIt arrived to me via Parcel force 3 days late due to parcel force issue.It was well packed and looked good once unpacked and saw in real life, Fixings were included and straight forward to fix to my solid wall however they would be no good for a plasterboard wall and additional plasterboard fixings would be required with possibly feet as support.overall very happy with my purchase but if anything could be better it would be the order to receipt time as this was not available via Amazon Prime Next Day and Parcel force took to long however saying that the product was good and Ben Simpson Furniture shipped fast so have given 5 stars

I know the price of timber has gone through the roof lately but this is recycled timber and is very expensive.That said it does look the part and you pay the price for quality.

While this is lovely, the holes where too large for the wall bars meaning it was very loose. Needed a lot of alteration to make it safe.
