A fantastic sounding pedal from a great company.
When I initially bought this I was worried that the vibrato effect wouldn't be tame-able on this pedal. It's actually very manageable if you just want a nice and lush chorus effect. In fact, if you very minimally dial in the vibrato effect it adds even more depth and thickness to the overall chorus sound. If you want your typical 80's rack chorus sound this pedal will definitely give you that in addition to the warbly vibrato effect. So if you're worried about the vibrato effect being too crazy, you don't have to add it in, you can just use the chorus by itself. Either way, it sounds awesome. Catalinbread is a really good company. I live in the same neighborhood so I had the privilege of actually walking into their shop to have them fix a pedal for me. They're really good people and I would definitely recommend any of their products.

Treble heavy
SO SO...I guess I am slightly disappointed. It is too treble heavy for me but otherwise ok.

Solid chorus, but lacks mojo.
This is a solid analog chorus, and versatile, but is a little sterile sounding compared to other choruses I've tried. That said, it is excellent for subtle chorus FX where you want a thicker sound that doesn't sound like chorus. It also can do some wild and intense chorus FX, but just seems like it's missing the mojo that something like a CE-1 can deliver. My Pigtronix QTM chorus pedal has more character. Not sure exactly how to explain why, but I hear it.

Fantastic pedal
This is a beautiful sounding pedal capable of a wide range of chorus tones, everything from just a small hint of chorus to deep lush chorus and warbly vibrato effects. True bypass switch keeps your tone intact and there are no volume spikes or drops when you engage the pedal on. Quality of sound and construction is what you'd expect from Catalinbread. Top notch. Admitedly, it is an expensive pedal, but after owning and trying out a myriad of other chorus pedals, this one is THE one for me.

One of a Kind
This is about as close to a Boss CE-1 chorus unit as it gets—with features that make it extremely versatile. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but anyone criticizing this pedal is basically criticizing the same circuit in the Roland JC120. Here on planet earth, that’s pretty much the water mark. The Callisto does boutique, Boards of Canada Tape-style chorusing and Mac Demarco vibrato, but can also go right back to Andy Summers territory without fail. The EQ is very transparent and absolutely does not impart any coloration, despite what one reviewer claimed—I will ride or die for this pedal. That said, it is possible to distort the input stage if you’re running an extremely high output signal from modern metal style or hot active pickups. The Callisto is a beautiful music machine and has started to become exceedingly rare since being discontinued. If you’re looking or a hi-fi boutique chorus that is as equally at home in the past as it is the future, find this pedal.
