I like the wide lens. Only had a hiccup one time and was fixed by a quick power off then on.Cons: The controls aren't very intuitive.Overall good camera and gives me peace of mind.

Video quality is excellent. Some of the buttons get stuck occasionally. Worst thing about this product is that the instruction that came with it is all in Chinese. It gets very frustrating trying to figure out how to use some of the features.

These little G1W dash cams are excellent, make sure you don't get a knock off, which is challenging. This is my second one, I have had one in my car for over a year and got another for my other car. I find the performance and image quality acceptable for a dash cam. I can usually see enough detail for my purposes. I have noticed that the battery is dead on my old one, a year of on and off and constant charge in the car seems to have done it in, but it works fine when plugged in, which is how I use it. Also the suction cup mounts are not great and will fall off in hot weather. The way the holder mounts to the camera is weird, it's a slotted square that slides into the body of the camera which will make finding a different mount a little challenging if it needs to be replaced.Bottom line, if you want a decent dash cam for a reasonable price, this is an excellent choice. Until the next "best" one at this price point appears.

That's the power cable is defective. It was too bad. Do I have to do?

The video that this thing takes is amazing for the price. This camera is the real deal. It is not one of the many counterfeit versions that are out there. I am on the road all day and can not afford to rely on what "eyewitnesses" might attest to when an incident occurrs. It has a very good wide angle of view and it records very well at night. It is a little difficult to set up but it is basically set and forget. It will turn on and record automatically when plugged into the power plug and when unplugged, it will record for a short time and then turn off. If you have an ignition on only power plug then you won't even need to unplug it.

Got this unit at the beginning of January, 2016. It seemed like a decent recorder, and was easy to set up and work with the configuration to make it do what I wanted. However, there were problems. Right off the bat, I noticed the RF interference. It's so bad that it cuts about 20 miles off the radio reception of my favorite station. If I unplug the unit, the reception clears. I bought some noise suppressors and clamped onto the power cord, to no effect. The next thing to happen was when the sun got hot through the windshield of my car. The plastic case melted, and the unit sagged down from the mounting point. Now the buttons get stuck because of interference from the deformed case. Finally, starting on July 1, the unit failed to turn out. It gets stuck at the splash screen. It's completely inoperable now. Do not buy this, it will not last.

Works great. My second one

not a good quality camera that video is skipping as its recording while you are driving. It skips every 2-3 seconds very annoying. The instructions and the manual are in Chinese so not a lot of help. Needless to say I am returning it and will spend a little more but get a better product.
