Installation was pretty straight forward, but no amount of discharging to 0% and recharging to 100% would get the battery to its fully rated 5800 mAh. Despite several attempts at resetting the SMC, macOS continued to report "Service Battery" and I only got 4200 mAh in the coconutBattery app, which for a brand new battery with only 2 load cycles is unacceptable. Plus physically, the bottom side of the battery seemed flimsily covered and the build quality seems subpar, leading me to believe that this is just not a high quality battery. Should've dropped the extra $10-20 and gotten one of the more consistently well-rated brands on Amazon instead. Sending back. :/

I ordered this replacement battery for an old MacBook. The battery shipped quickly, fit perfectly and was easy to install. The seller also send two small screwdrivers which was great. Once installed, the computer was powered on and I recharged the battery after is was depleted. So far, the batter performs like it did when I first purchased the computer new. AAA+ for the seller.

This is literally open batteries in a case and held together with a cut out piece of tape. The worst excuse for a battery I have ever seen. These people selling these should be arrested

I love my older unibody MacBook. I did not want to replace it but the battery it had kept dying very quickly. Normally these batteries are over $200 each. This $20 replacement fit great and they sent the tools to switch out the old one. Took all of 20 minutes to do and now.... .I can take my MacBook anywhere. Before , I had to keep it plugged in and stationary.Great sale!

This battery would often sleep the computer at around 50 percent, then 70%. this probably means bad cells. i would buy elsewhere.

Quality product that was received timely.

BEWARE. I work with apple products for a living and know how to test batteries using software. These batteries that are being sold are only 5000mAh compared to the described 5800mAh. Also to mention, the battery even says it is only 5000mAh when you go into it and look. Other than the battery being not as described, if you don't mind the battery missing 800mAh it isn't a horrible deal.
