First time I've ever used one, worked perfectly
I'm in the middle of running a lot of RG-6 quad shield throughout my home.Side note: I bought the RG-6/Q cable from a big box store. I went to the orange big box first for the cable, but it was made in China, so I thought I'd look around for American made. Sure enough, I went to the blue and white big box store and they had a 200' reel that was made in America. Hard to believe I know, but true. The tool seems solid. It has a good heavy feel in my hand, and squeezing it is smooth as butter. The instructions provided were spot on. For someone whose never terminated connections before, I was successful on the first try and every one after that.FYI I used these connectors: Greenlee XFC-6Q-10 Weatherproof Compression F-Style Connectors, RG6 Quad, 10-Pack Make sure the connectors you use match the cable type (e.g., quad shield connectors for quad sheild cable), otherwise, your connection will be loose or too tight.I can't yet comment on the tools performance with RCA and BNC. However, I am running a CCTV system through my house as well, which will require BNC terminations. Based on the performance so far, I can't imagine there will be an issue.

Works great but not all connectors are the same
This tool works great and is easy to use but I found some connectors are shorter than others. Apparently there is no standard. This comes with an F adapter so I thought maybe it was missing an RCA adapter. I called the company which has great support and he was preplexed as well. What I had to do was use a spacer (found a nut that worked) and that made these particular connectors work (which are great connectors) RCA Gold Compression Coax Connectors RG6 Pack of 10 .One thing you have to do is make sure the connector is slid all of the way onto the cable including into the outer shield (if you have done this you know what I am talking about). This does not slide the cable into the connector; it only compresses the connector. There are some tools that are adjustable but they work differently. So it will depend on which style you like to use more than anything.

Makes crimping wire simple!
I do a lot of wiring around my house. This tool makes creating RG6 (coax) cable connections simple. This tool allows the connector to be put on the wire via compression instead of crimping. When I watch the cable or satellite installers, they all use compression connectors, so I've done the same.I've created dozens of cables with this tool and it is simple to use, durable and does exactly what I need it to do!This tool covers F connectors (for cable or satellite) and RCA connectors (useful when I create cables to connect my subwoofer to my stereo.Overall a great product, would highly recommend!

Missing F adapter which appears in Photo description
I don't like giving negative reviews for missing parts, but when a product arrives and doesn't have the necessary F connector part, it is difficult to give it more than a one. Poor quality control. I am returning mine to Amazon which makes it so easy to do. Thank you Amazon!!!

Works Decent
Not bad, but be careful. If you have a certain type of connectors (Sorry, I don't know how to identify them) the crimper will crimp unevanly as the top portion (yellow piece) only compresses 3/4 of the connector. So I have to crimp part way, then rotate the cable then crimp again. Not a huge deal, and I think it's just my connectors that do it. Other than that, it works great.

It works nicely but somehow in the first use I binded the connector which bent the adapter up which rather easily broke the blue tab which holds it into place.

Crimper review
The crimper arrived on time and works great! The tool looks and feels like a high quality tool should and should provide years of service. I'm very happy with my purchase.

NOT for 'Paladin' or 'IDEAL' BNC compression connectors
READ THIS, if installing a security CCTV (video camera) system as this tool's description, packaging, instructions, and manufacturer's website says it works for BNC connectors is FALSE because the instruction says to remove the little square blue insert which is for 'F' connector adapters thus the remaining space (49mm) is for a BNC connector. The Paladin or IDEAL connectors are approx. 39mm uncompressed when placed in the opened slot space. When the tool handle is fully closed or compressed the remaining space = 41mm so there's still 2mm of space remaining before any contact with the uncompressed BNC connector. NO compression is ever possible! The Klein VDV211-063 compression crimper-lateral multi-connector definitely does BNC, F, RCA connectors due it has a rotating tip that adjustable. The tip length is what matters the most because if it's too wide you'll damage (mushroom) the inner sleeve of the BNC connector once the lever is fully compressed. As for the other connectors, there are other features of this tool that makes it easier for those connectors but haven't needed them. The Klein VDV211-048 compression tool is similar but I wouldn't recommend this for BNC due it's tip is just slightly wider than the VDV211-063 and doesn't let the outer rotating sleeve of a BNC meet (kiss) which is what needed during the compression.Note: No compression force should be applied to the inner sleeve, only to the outer sleeves.Ultimately, in my view compression provides a better connection than crimping connectors.

I hope the "DATAShark" brand will be kept alive!
So this goes back a few years ... Greenlee bought Paladin Tools who made the DATAShark brand and then Greenlee was sold to Emerson... So, not sure if Emerson will keep these 3rd brands alive or not...The crimper tool works amazingly well. It should be noted that the "blue / red" adapter should be removed IF the crimper will be used for RCA or BNC connectors.I've used this crimper with compression connectors from PPC ( sold here on Amazon: ASIN# B00IA2YSKI) ... A gentle squeeze that's all it takes to terminate the cable...Overall, a great buy and a fantastic tool!

Nicht so gut
Sehr schwer Hand zu haben. Man benötigt auch extra Stecker, damit es funktioniert. Die Stecker sind alle zerbrochen. Vielleicht aber auch ein Einzelfall.

sturdy piece of kit that makes a very good joint
Does what it says on the tin, sturdy piece of kit that makes a very good joint. Only 4 stars as it would be good to know where to get the inserts to allow for more flexibility in the connectors you can use. Highly recommended over some of the cheaper alternatives though.
