Very sturdy
Very sturdy, a good body. Something to note though as in the past, I've exclusively bought male obitsu bodies: -Male hips are wider than the females, but the females have bigger butts -Female legs are more shapely even though male legs are wider -Male neck pegs are longer even though both gender necks are the same length -27 cm female hands are a size in between 27cm male hands and 21/23/25cm hands -27cm female bodies have nipples for some reason I bought this body to hybridize with one of my male dolls and he looks really great now.

Amazing Articulated Doll
Love him! Amazing to add on to the body diversity of my articulated dolls, and can always use more guys! Considering getting a few more!

A well articulated gentleman!
I really appreciate this product! This Obitsu Male 27 cm body is perfect for my projects. To give all you lovely folks who are reading the reviews some context, I am a doll customization artist. Usually, I take old/used dolls and figures and fix them up to be works of art, but the project I needed this guy for required something specific. I have a character that's a male ballerina (a ballerino if you will), and I need him to be very articulated to get the range of posability needed for some of those positions. He can move more than well enough for what I want to photograph, so I'm happy! Some specific things to note: His elbows worked better than I expected! Usually, with a doll elbow, you have to fanangle it so it's backward to reach some poses, but I was delightfully surprised that it moves very well in multiple directions without becoming too unrealistic. If were compare his articulation to a well-known fashion doll, I'd say he's a lot like a Made-to-Move Barbie, or if you remember the 2006 Disney Prince dolls that had articulation, he's very similar to that (See the pictures to see what I mean). Except he's even more movable due to his ability to turn his knees, as opposed to the calf joint you usually see on female dolls. I like this body a lot because it feels sturdy. One thing that surprised me was that it came with three pairs of hands in total. One was in fists, one was flat, and one with semi-curled fingers to look like it can hold was something. Strangely enough, the hands are a different material from the others. They're squishy like vinyl or silicone, different from the hard plastic body. The flat hands are very tight in the wrist joint, so they stay in the arms fairly easily, but the other two are a bit loose. He also has these two circular shapes in his feet, along with the Obitsu elephant logo. Because I know some dolls have magnets embedded in the feet, I tried to stick him to some metal, but he didn't stick. I figured this was the case, but it's always good to check. You could probably stick a nice flat magnet in there if you wanted to though, which gives you many options. One complaint I do have is that some of his joints are really squeaky, particularly the that connects the legs to the hips. I'm sure it'll loosen up with time, but it's really loud right now and a little ear grating. Funnily enough, I found out about this brand of bodies from a stop motion artist. I'm not sure how you would make these bodies work for stop motion though, the joints are very nice, but some are harder than others to move without disturbing the whole body, which may make it difficult for smooth footage. None the less, it's a very nice body and it's perfect for my project. I can't vouch for head compatibility with every brand, but I'm using a Monster High Invisi-Billy doll's head on him, and the fit is perfect. In fact, I can say I really appreciate the way the neck peg works after slipping his head on and off for a test. If you're looking for a great male doll body, this is the best one I've found yet, and it'll be even better once I get him dressed and dolled up! Definitely a good option if you're looking to re-body an old doll or make something totally new!

Very flexible anime-like body! Not very sturdy.
Right off the bat, let me say this is a great body for posing (photography or figure study)! The double joints on both the elbows and the knees bend VERY close! These joints, along with the wrist and ankle joints, swivel 360 degrees allowing for all sorts of unique positions. There are also interchangeable hands (all pairs: fists, slightly curved, and flat). There's also various head joint pieces for different kinds of head types to be secured on the body (very useful). The height is a bit taller than the average Barbie doll and shorter than Ken. The body is VERY thin (sometimes I feel too thin), specifically in the arms, with near-to-nothing for muscle tone. It can wear Ken clothing, but most of the time they'll be too loose on the body. I found Ken's jackets and shoes can fit/look nice on it though. I bought 3 of these bodies for making custom dolls to PLAY with, which, if attempting to do so right out of the bag it comes in, is not a good idea. All the joints start off stiff and extremely squeaky!! On only one of the bodies I bought had smooth moving, silent arm joints. So generally it'll be the legs that will have the stiff and noisy issue. You can get rid of the stiffness and squeaks by spraying and rubbing in WD-40 and repetitively moving the joints all around (a process of which may need to be repeated over a series of hours/days). Not too much of a big deal. Something that really bothered me about this body type is that it falls apart way too easy. The torso has an upper part by the chest (can move side to side and front to back) and a lower part on the waist (front, back, sides, and 360 swivel). Every piece/jointed part on the body can be removed, but unfortunately that means all the joints are weak/not fitted proper to the "sockets". This is a big problem if this body is purchased for --play--. I went around these problems by utilizing stretchy fabric bands and superglue (makeshift, but very durable for playtime), so it's not impossible to work with. Overall, it's a really decent price, considering the alternative male bodies are either the ultra-buff Sideshow types, or the expensive Volks/Dolfie types. I know there's many more types, but I've been looking around, and since I trust Amazon so much, this body is a nice find.

Great for doll repaints.
Overall, the doll is great. It is exactly the body style for the project in mind. The only complaint is that the elbow joints are very loose, resulting in the lower arms falling when trying to pose.
