Don't let my rating fool you!
Contents:2 Jiggly Gelatin Servers (footed sproingy muffin cups)1 Eggplant Whisk (whisk with plastic eggplant character as handle)4 Cupcake/Muffin Liners (silicone)1 Teddy Bear Baking Form (silicone)1 Mixing Bowl (microwave safe)1 Ooze Icing DecoratorSet of 4 Measuring Spoons4 Recipe Cards (I actually got 5 different ones)1 Plastic Apron1 Chef's Hat (some kind of fabric-y paper, almost like thick coffee filters)I primarily bought this toy for the jiggly muffin cups and silicone muffin liners, to use myself in the Muffin Tin Meals (Google it!) that I make for my daughter. So I rated this toy higher than I maybe would have on its own merits. The recipes are kind of a pain, since they each have 2 parts. The "Top Secret" parent part in a separate envelope, and the kid's step-by-step on the cards, which was VERY confusing until I figured it out.The spelling is all kinds of terrible, where it's clear that someone's fingers were a key over when typing it all in, and no one ever bothered to spell-check.Other than the "icing decorator" (which is cooler than the one pictured on the back!) they don't tell you whether any of the tools are dishwasher safe, other than a 'use top shelf in dishwasher for additional cleaning' on the back of the box, but I doubt the whisk would do well in the dishwasher, since it is 2 hollow plastic halves screwed together, so I assume water would get inside the handle and molder, and the screws would probably rust. The Jiggly cups should also probably be hand-washed, since they are plastic with coated metal springs. The icing decorator instructions are to hand-wash, and it's basically a little accordion-bellows bottle with a Play-Doh Fun Factory-like set of 3 icing tips on a bar that slides through the opening on the icer, and you can slide whichever tip you need over the top.Since I hate hand-washing when not necessary, I gave my daughter the mixing bowl, measuring spoons and eggplant-handled whisk for her play kitchen. I swiped the Jiggly Gelatin Servers, the silicone Teddy Bear Baking Form (slightly larger than a muffin. Maybe 2 muffins,) the Icing Decorator (since it looks easier for little hands than icing bags,) and the silicone muffin liners (mine were blue, the ones pictured on the back of the box were red. The mixing bowl was also a different shape and color from the one pictured.)I haven't tried any of the recipes, since I really bought this for the tools inside. So I couldn't tell you if they are kid-approved or not. But my daughter LOVES the tools I gave her and mixed up pretend soups for over an hour.
