I purchased this product as a holiday present for a family member of mine. And for the price, I thought it was worth the try. Usually, when in doubt, I purchase items ahead of time so that I may be able to "test" the quality before handing it off as a gift. After all, I wouldn't want to give out a regretful gift.I like the carrying bag that came with it. It's good for compacting. After opening the tripod from the carry bag, the product looked used and dirty with few areas that had dark residue on certain areas of the legs (shown in photos). The legs feel a little flimsy when fully expanded. The package describes that it was made for DSLR and Camcorders (photo on package shows professional camcorder on box), but I don't believe that it will hold well.Overall, as mentioned before, the price range was decent and I will commit to giving this out as a gift. My 3.5 rating remains because I wouldn't buy this for myself. It's for a beginner and would recommend it as a starter for others, especially indoors.SUMMARYPROS:- Decent for the price.- Comes with a carrying bag.- Foam pads for handling.- Good for a beginner.CONS:- Flimsy legs.- Looked used.- Not suitable for professionals.

Very versatile tripod for most uses. Feels a bit flimsy, but it was up to the task of taking a few great pics at many angles. My only complaint was that it didn't seem capable of taking pictures straight up in the sky. I was photographing the Northern Lights, and it would have been nice. Also, the retaining kit snapped a piece of plastic, but I have to stress that this may have been my fault, as I was over 100 miles into the Arctic when it happened, and I hadn't checked the temperature rating of the product. That said, I love the portability and versatility of the unit for 99% of ever other application.

This is a very lightweight tripod, so it's great for times when you want to pick up and go. It's what I would expect for the price I paid. I'd be very upset and angry if I paid the listed retail price for this tripod. I didn't get the pictured travel bag or the microfiber wipe with my purchase which is the only reason I'm not giving this a higher rating in this review.

A bit flimsy as to be expected but it works. Very light. Good for travel but if you are a serious photographer spend the money and get a better quality item. With that said this is excellent for the family portraits and the people in the family that take them.

The clips that make it stand at it's tallest height are not the best. It seemed like they were sliding down. But for the price it's fine and I won't be using it all that often. If I was, then I would spend more money to get something better quality.

Nicely designed, but I wouldn't put anything too heavy on it. Not the strongest legs, but does the job.

Too weak to handle a semi o r pro camera.It came apart at the camera base while using it.

Far too light ( in my opinion)weight for anything larger than a small point and shoot.
