Wow
I first bought the iPad app that accompanies this book. The videos Jason has on there are super inspiring. At first I wondered why on earth Jason was so hyperactive (in a good way, passionate and excited) in his videos. Anyway they inspired me to buy this book on Kindle and I started the program immediately.Now I know why Jason is so hyperactive because I feel the same!! This program has made me feel, no joke, the best I've ever felt in my life. Im 32 and have been fit and healthy (or so I thought) until I was 29 and STILL those 29 years of health feel nowhere near as good as I feel now. My wife keeps jokingly telling me to be quiet as I'm talking non-stop about how good I feel! It makes me wonder why people in general feel so bad and low when there is such a simple solution which is outlined perfectly in this book, with mind bogglingly tasty recipes. On day 1 I was craving a burger, now I'm craving my dinner Juice!I know most people won't try these kind of things but I promise you, give it a couple of days of dedication and you will not regret it at all. Best thing I've ever done.

Another fabulous nourishing DETOX!
First I'd just like to say the previous reviewer obviously has no experience with detoxes. Those are all symptoms of detoxing and no one ever said detoxing was fun. My guess would be that that person was quite "junked" up from poor food choices and lifestyle habits as most American's.I have done the 7 day detox and just finished the 5 day. I like them both but I will say there are advantages to the 5 day not going into the weekend. I didn't use any of the SOS's (specific foods you can eat if you think you're starving) but was also glad the opportunity was there. My husband did use them daily - it was his first detox and he said he would do it again. A friend of mine also did it (she's new to juicing) and she used a few SOS's and when all was said in done she said she'd like to periodically do them to keep her body running efficiently. The thing with any detox is that you have to sail through the storm to get to clear skies and sunshine. Although days 1-3 are generally the worst (all three of us "suffered" with irritability and psychological hunger, exhaustion and a few headaches) day 4 dawns and you'll feel terrific (we all had a renewed sense of energy and felt really great/squeaky clean!). That almost made me want to juice the weekend - just because I was feeling so good by that point I didn't want it to end a day later.I lost 5 lbs, hubby lost 5 lbs and of course you're not going to keep it all off but it is possible to keep most of it off if you continue juicing and eating healthy foods. For those who have a lot of weight to loose I think loosing that much weight in such a short time is a great motivator especially if you can keep on with the 5/2/5 plan (Juice 5 days, eat 2, juice 5) but the key is to keep going with it. In other words you can't go back to your cheeseburger or nachos and think you're going to maintain the 5 lb weight loss. The most important thing to remember though is that this is a DETOX , an extremely nourishing one at that, which can very well become a lifestyle (incorporating more juices into your daily routine - not straight juicing) and the point of a detox is to give your organs a break and release toxins from your body. The weight loss is a perk.I'm looking forward to the rest of Jason's book in the fall!

This book has good recipes for juicing. It also explains what the fruit or vegetable is good for, for your body

Great book! I followed the 5 day program and ...
Great book! I followed the 5 day program and never felt hungry. I am so happy I did the detox. I had a headache day 1 which is normal. By day 3 I starting to feel amazing. I juice at least once a day now.

I just finished this 5 day program and I must say it was easier than the first time 1 year ago. I have gained weight due to a new medication I am on for several health challenges. Everyone said. I couldn't lose weight on this drug even my doctor was skeptical.Well I have lost 5 # and it is day 5 one more day to go. Then I will do 2 juices a day and 1 sensible meal to continue my new way of eating.

I've been in the health and wellness business for over 20 years. Loved his 'makes sense' approach and willingness to base his work on real results with real people.Looking forward to the next five days and trying out new juice recipes!

Amazing results if you have self belief, determination and will power - 10 stone lost!!
I brought this book a few years ago after I got stuck at a certain weight and couldn't seem to lose anymore. I was not fat or even over weight when I first did this juice but it was simply done to help kick start me back on the right track, to help freshen up my taste buds and to give my body a well needed detox from all the sugar and processesed food.This worked and I lost 7lb in 5 days!!!!It wasn't the most easy 5 days but as I had read the book page to page it was not as hard as I thought it was going to be.This book prepared me. It helped to guide me and most importantly it gave me the knowledge to know why I wanted to do this.I didn't go straight back to my normal eating after following this plan, I made sure I was juicing for at least one meal a day to still benefit from this fast and to not gain the weight straight back on.I have since passed this book round to friends and family.I have one family member in particular who borrowed this Jason Vale book off me, followed the 5 day plan and then went on to buy all of his other books. This family member went from being someone that suffered from Agoraphobia because they were so self conscious of the way they looked to losing a staggering 10 stone and getting a job!!My family and I need to say a huge thank you to Jason. We had tried as a family for years to encourage weight lost even trying counselling but nothing worked until this book. You are a genius. Thankyou!

Makes life hard, but works!
I've done this juice diet twice. Here's my honest review!The first time I followed the diet absolutely to the letter. I was so exhausted every day I would just drag myself home from work and into bed, literally at 6pm, and sleep off and on until morning. I couldn't do any exercise as I was just exhausted. I don't normally drink caffeine so it wasn't a withdrawal from this. I didn't feel so much hungry as just emotional every time I saw actual food. I found it difficult to concentrate. I also felt very depressed, especially at the beginning. It didn't really get better through the week. My work absolutely suffered, and I had to go home early a couple of times. I couldn't do anything sociable at all. I stuck to it though, as I needed to lose the weight to fit into a bridesmaid dress. However, I usually get bloated etc with digestive issues and it was a wonderful bloat-free week! And it completely worked. At the end of the week I'd lost 6lbs (I was only 135lbs to begin with) and felt as light as a feather. I fit into the dress, and my appetite overall reduced quite a lot.It was the longest, most depressing week of my life though.I'm currently 3 days into my second round of this diet. The first day I actually had to go home from work because I was just crying at my desk - something that never happens!! I had nothing to be sad about. So I've been cheating - not with food, but for the second and third day I've had a sugar free energy drink in the morning. It's made a MASSIVE difference. I'm awake and cheerful, despite the juice! I've also had half a protein bar before and half after exercising (crossfit) so I can manage the sessions! 5lbs down already, and MUCH more managble. I'm sure Joe Wicks would NOT be pleased at my additions but they've made this diet doable!

What am I doing?!
Hat off to those who completed the diet and rave about it! I only lasted 3 days.I suffered from headaches from day one and felt very weak. I didn't enjoy any of the juices either. I didn't feel hungry after drinking them but only because I felt sick. Jason talks about drinking avocado like it's the discovery of El Dorado but to me, it was just sickly. And I like avocado!After checking out his turbo charge book and reading the reviews, I decided to introduce a proper meal in the evening. I didn't buy the book but read the reviews to get an idea of what the program was all about. Instead of lining Jason's pocket some more, I boughtCarbs and Cals by Chris Cheyenne and Yelo Balolia.I have been following the recipes and meal plan to the letter and in the space of a month, I have lost 1 stone. Energy levels and mood are great too.I did of course exercise a little. I take the dog out every day and did an exercise DVD twice a week (Dance that walk by Gina Buber).When it comes to losing weight and healthy living, common sense needs to prevail and it took me numerous attempts at finding a shortcut to finally get it.Drinking diets are not for everybody. I've found it unnatural. I will continue to have a juice once in while but only because I have the juicer and I can't bring myself to let yet more wasted money gather dust at the back of the cupbard.

Not what I have expected
Firstly, it’s all black and white! When you think about juices & fruit you think colourfulness, but there is nothing of this in the book.Also I found pretty annoying how hard the author is trying to advertise all his other books and products in the actual book.Shame it’s a book and I have marked it or I’d have returned it.

If its worth doing, then do it right
If you are looking for a good way to kick start a new way of eating and you want to feel good, get rid of bad eating habits and cleans your body ...then I would 101% starting hear.BUY the bookREAD the bookAnd then...... go shopping.The key to your success regarding this detox is for you to make time to read first and once you start keep picking it up and read, for that extra motivational support.It's not easy but it's worth it.
