Bolivian Organic 100% Arabica Fresh Coffee Beans (Unroasted Green Beans, 2.5 pounds Whole Beans)

I've roasted over Thirty pounds of this coffee over the past year using my FreshRoast SR 500, and they are great, flavorful beans. Those reviewers complaining about the lack of flavor in these beans are just not roasting them right. With my SR 500, and an ambient temp of about 80f, I put 120 grams of beans in the SR 500 and set the air on high and the heat on low, and stir stir stir. I hit cool for 8 seconds at the 2 and 4 minute marks, and first crack starts rolling at about the 5 minute mark. Another 2 to 3 minutes of development and I dump the beans right before second crack. Beans are perfect every time! There are many great free online forums for those wanting to learn the art of home roasting their own coffee. With home roasting coffee, it's not so much about saving money as it is about having fresh roasted coffee your way every time. PRICELESS!!!!!

I just got this in the mail, literally within the last half hour and I was so excited to see it finally arrived! I ordered just a few days ago and it already came, originally from NJ so it wasn't too far but wow, the smell! First off, you can clearly smell the difference vs store bought coffee beans, the aroma permeating through the packaging was intense so I knew they weren't lying when they say they roast each batch before shipping. My house smells of coffee, the smell is that strong and it just feels like i'm in a coffee house. I've had Bolivian coffee in Bolivia and I've been wanting to get it again but have only seen the instant kind, also, Trader Joes other stores aren't close to me so I searched online and was very happy to see not only Bolivian coffee, but organic! The coffee is delicious, fresh and just everything I remember from drinking it while in country so I'm very happy to reliving memories with every sip I take. I purchased the medium roast and I think next time i'll go for the dark, just for a more intense flavor but the medium is a good place to start if you've never tried Bolivian coffee before. Along with the coffee, the paperwork included a copy of the certificate of authenticity.

I was rather unimpresed with this coffee (I got it as unroasted green beans and used an air popper to roast them to a pretty dark roast). I should say as a caveat that I am new to coffee roasting so it could be my inexperience but I tried several different roasting lengths, including trying to get them as dark as possible before burning. Despite the dark roast, the coffee they produced lacked much body and flavor. It's ok for the price but I think I'll be trying a different green coffee for roasting next time.

I have been buying these beans for over a year and they are the only beans I use. The flavor is perfect for me. I even turned my daughter on to these and she loves them for regular to espresso grind.

This is the second coffee we have tried from this micro-roaster. It is by far the best coffee we have had the privilege to serve Sunday mornings before church. We have tried it as percolated, automatic drip and also pour-over and it has far exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be ordering this coffee from now on.

I went to high school in Bolivia and developed an appreciation for the acid-free and delicate bitterness of Bolivian Coffee. I tried a few here and there but they did not match my memory. This brand does.
