This book is so good that I am eagerly awaiting the third installment in the series. When I couldn't find the sound book on Amazon digitally, I bought the physical copy, then bought THIS copy in paperback as well because I wanted both in my hands. I love this story that much.Mouse is a prodigy of a mechanic, with a smart mouth. Sadao is the self-assured, domineering boss of a team of famous bike racers that roar over the wastes of a dystopian, futuristic America. The story is told through Mouse's point of view as he is 'recruited' to join the team, and learns more about the sketchy dealings of the deadly sport. Since we understand everything through this character's perspective, when he is clueless, the audience can be left in the dark, but I liked this aspect of things, because of how Mouse reacted to being in the unfamiliar and dangerous situation. He had innocence to him, but managed to not be weak, helpless, or completely clueless.I like the illustrations in the digital version a bit more than the paperback of the same book, if only because I think they are better censored, but if you want to see the whole, unedited image, you need to buy the actual books, last I saw. Piggybacking off of that thought, the heat factor on these scenes is HIGH. As in: Sweat, muscles, walking funny afterwards, screaming the place down during, rocking the trailer, and 'scaring the cat' good times. If that doesn't make you grin like you just stole Christmas, I suggest another book.It has bad guys, explosions, high heat, a good plot, a sequel, and hopefully a third coming in the future. it is not a manga, and you will kick yourself if you don't give this a read.

This was like a Mad Max dystopian future esque yaoi in an edgy sort of way. Our main protagonist Mouse, can be described as a simple country boy mechanic who longs for a better life. And what better way to continue doing what he loves -- working with vehicles -- than becoming the mechanic for a team of overland racers.Of course, said racers raid of his gas station did make the later job offer by leader of the racers – Sadao -- seem less palatable at the time. But seeing as the team was desperate for a mechanic, kidnapping apparently was not off the table.Sadao is a bit of an enigma since we are only privy to Mouse’s point of view. But his sense of honor and his respect and trust for his team come through. The two quickly develop a romantic relationship of which Mouse falls to some misconceptions about, namely the unspoken need for fidelity.Imagine Roman times where the gladiators would often sleep with the wealthy spectators. Such was the case here, and Sadao was used to providing that service. But we quickly learn that Mouse wants Sadao to be the man of his dreams which means exclusivity.And that’s about as mushy and soap opera-ish as the storyline gets on the romantic level as it then delves into darker themes of sabotage and attempted murder. Although this first book ends in a cliffhanger, at least both our main characters are still alive albeit temporarily separated as the actions Sadao takes near the end leads to dire consequences.I go now to read book two, and it’s worth noting that not all of these books are available in kindle form. I tend to stay away from paperbacks like the plague. But consider this storyline was so good that it forced me to actually buy the physical book 2 and have it sent to me. Might be a lot of work to read this series, but like I said, Mad Max dystopian future and yaoi, what’s not to love?

It has all the elements of yaoi as well as fast paced action adventure. The romance is just the icing on the case....sexual heat hot as the Sahara! The storyline is fast paced and gritty drama about desert racing group Orochi with its hot leader Sadao and his genius mechanic Mouse who come together to make a great storyline about a futuristic America using racing vehicles from motorcycles to cars to create an epic reality dealing with finding a niche that is all rewarding....need to read this book to understand..it will be worth it. Loved this book and the series

Hot sequences with the right taste and on the right times. Good story and good plot. Loved it. Now looking forward to read the next books.
