Ferrara Candy Premium Dark Chocolate Orange Ball, 6.17 oz

So I bought this as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. I have previously only ever tried the chocolate oranges at Trader Joe's. I saw how much they were being sold for on Amazon and nearly had heart failure. Plus, Trader Joe's is not anywhere convenient for me where I live. So I decided to try this one. It was totally, one-hundred percent worth it. I have never had a better chocolate orange candy. The chocolate is sweet and quite literally melts in your mouth. The orange flavor is more sweet than it is citrusy, but melds so well with the dark chocolate it's criminal. I was asked several times why I only bought one. That should be a tip-off! Good thing the holidays are a year away so I have no excuse to buy more......

The one you'll crave more of! These are so good! And the way they are packaged, the individual slices are beautiful chocolate replicas of orange slice down to the tee, & a good size ball make it a great gift you would be proud to get or give! I live the way you smash it to get the pieces to slice apart--adds a little drama to the whole show. As fun to eat as it is good! Talk about taste in both senses of the word!

I mistakenly bought these, thinking it was something made by Ferrero--the company that makes the fabulous Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Oops! I wonder if the similar name is because they are hoping you confuse the names.This qualifies as candy, but not as chocolate. Kids who like anything sweet will like it and be amused by the orange shape. I used to buy te ones made by Droste years ago. They were great. I bought the dark chocolate one, and it was so excruciatingly sweet that I couldn't eat it.

It seems the company has decided to go cheap by increasing wax or soy lecithin and decreasing the actual chocolate. This used to be a high-quality, creamy chocolate that the whole family enjoyed immensely. This year we were all disappointed by the weak flavor and waxy texture. Bad decision on the part of the company. We will look for a new brand/product to replace our beloved oranges, next year.

Great candy. Nice orange flavor that does NOT overwhelm the dark chocolate taste, while it out does the other two brands I have tried. You get what you pay for, and if you have a mind to "indulge", then I recommend this brand hands down. The wife, and grandson also agreed with this being #1 out of the three brands we purchased/sampled. We will seek these out when we have a desire for these Dark Chocolate Orange(s). 5 STAR !

Ever since my children were little it's been a tradition for them to get Terry's chocolate Orange in their Christmas stocking. Now that they are adults and have a more discriminating palates I decided to spend the extra money for a better grade of chocolate. These Ferrara's chocolate oranges did not disappoint! They will definitely be the new stocking stuffer for our family tradition!

It's my favorite but for some reason it's hard to find other than at xmas. Stock up if you find it!
