Fifty Places to Dive Before You Die: Diving Experts Share the World's Greatest Destinations

Really disappointed with this book. The author has no real experience with the dive sites. It seems all he did was interview other divers for recommendations. Gather a smattering of general info and publish that as this book for profit. It is not a guide of where to dive. No specific dives are listed. no locations, depths, expected encounters. Not at all what I was hoping for. A waste of a great title.. Save your money.

I thought it was a weak and superficial summary of well known diving locales. In a book like this you are hoping for two things: some great photography, and the revealing a few "hidden gems". A trite summary of where in the world the tourists go was not what I had been hoping for.

This book is very anecdotal and not very helpful in helping to find cool dive sites. I honestly could write a better one with some of the dives I've done. I can't belive there wasn't anything on the Red Sea.

I always read reviews on Amazon about items I want to buy - I usually actually will not buy anything that has a lot of neg. input on the product - The Title of this book SOLD me. In truth , this is like a very mini size table book or bathroom book that as a diver, would not keep your attention to actually read the whole thing. Save your money and don't buy this one !!!! The pics are not even good in the book.

Purchased this book for a friend of mine who is a Scuba Instructor, he absolutely loved it! Makes a great addition to his coffee table and a wonderful talking point when he has guest. My brother in law recently obtained his scuba license and he is excited to dive. He isn't much of a reader, so he loved all of the pictures in this book. He can't wait to start checking off places he has actually been! I like the thickness and size of this book, perfect for a coffee table piece.

Great pictures and summaries of dives! Can;t wait to do all 50.
