The New Strong's Complete Dictionary of Bible Words Hardcover – January 1, 1996

Well to those who think that the words Rapture or Trinity are in the bible, they probbably don't want to buy this book, because they are not in the bible in the original texts.But the most important name in the bible appears in this work... namely that of Jehovah. He is the one to whom spoke to Abraham. He is Jesus father, and oh yes his name is in the original Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic; nearly seven thousand times. I have included some prime examples of why this work is so good: on page 385 it says the divine name in Hebrew:Entry: 3068 Yehovah yeh-ho-vaw'; from 1961;(the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God:-- Jehovah, the Lord. Comp. 3050, 3069.Entry: 3069 Yehovih, yeh-ho-vee'; a var. of 3068 [used after 136, and pronounced by Jews as 430 in order to prevent the repetition of the same sound, since they elsewhere pronounce 3068 as 136]:-God.And the entries of 3070, 3071, 3072, 3073, and 3074 (to see what they are you'll have to buy the book.) in which in each instance God's name is correctly translated. Oh... they didn't speak Latin in Bible times. That came only much later after the first council of Nicea. {This period in between these times is commonly known as the "DARK AGES" and aptly so.} And by that time much corruption had set into people who professed to revere the Bible. And most educated people realize that by the time Martin Luther came upon the seen... just owning the bible was punishable by death. Furthermore he translated a bible into the people's language himself, in order to help people to get to know the truth about the bible.This work by strong is almost as important, if you are studying the bible closely the truth's contained in the bible are truely evident. Although in honesty this book may be over the heads of some beginners, in which group I consider myself to be only a beginner. And I've studied the bible for 28 years. But just for some of the other beginners who want to know the truth look up Exodus 6:3, Psalms 83:18; Isaiah 12:2; and Isaiah 26:4, and if you have a bible version which doesn't have the divine name there... you should ask yourself why has it been REMOVED?But not to sway anyone personal belief's one way or another, I've spent 5 hours already looking thru this book and find it absolutely incrediable. It is as if God speaks directly to you with no brainwashing if you have this book. On my scale of 1-10 this book if used correctly ranks 777.

This book was bought for my caretaker who loves it. It helps her to understand the Bible.

That is...once you have a copyof this book...you will always want to have a copy of this book. my first copyi have- in some pieces of the original that i bought 25 years ago during bible lessons from a publishing minister who deemed me worthy... during my first year of marriage... to get lessons and later i got the good news he consented to anointmy ministry...i also have a copy of this book on my COMPUTER for my THIRD COPY of this book...my wife i don't have...the minister i can still hear once in a while..the book-THREE COPIES....i love this book-you should too!the format of strong's:1-words in english that are from the bible & in columns, an index -then the number of the look up word2-numbed words in two colums one after another like regular dictionary form in hebrew3- same in greekit is easy to use and i can figure things out for hours and in deed have hours of riviting pleasures derived from my quest...WELL. do you love the word of GOD?ON THE RETIREMENT OF THIS COPY of STRONG'S I WOULD EXPECT I WOULD GET ME ANOTHERi e x p e c t i am not alone.

Good book for biblical meaning.

Bible Study

I have used Strong's in searching the Word of God in the past and was always satisfied with them. I wanted to go a bit deeper and this updated book gave me what I needed and I am very happy with it.My Study Bible is a NASB which I find to be easy to read in todays language and to talk with others with. I still use a KJV to compare with I guess mainly because I grew up with it and the one I use was given to me from my Mother who has passed on to be with Our Lord. KJV has a beauty with its words that I will never get away from, but in going over the Bible today with those who may not know KJV can be hard to understand.With all that said (above) "The New Strong's" works with all of them and once you understand its lay out it is easy and fun looking up words.

With this HEBREW / GREEK DICTIONARY and the HOLY SPIRIT guiding me to the appropriate word in each scripture, The I AM in me is well pleased. I have to pray to remain HUMBLE, because to have access to a book that has the MEANINGS to the SORDS that were used thousands of years ago, this is MORE REMARKABLE than ANYTHING WEBSTER could produce and we know Webster showed out. I will purchase the NEWER VERSION of this book too. I thank GOD for AMAZON, for this service of also providing products from other Sellers at a much loser price and for the Sellers who appear to always seek to please their customers.
