perfect for my chow chow
This is just right for getting my aging chow chow in the car. It does not fit in the side door of my Outlander Sport which is shorter than the regular Outlander. However, it works fine at the back of the car. It has a heavy duty snap hook that connects to the back door latch to hold the stairs steady and two handles to help keep it steady. It is light weight, folds out (and back in) easily. The steps are sturdy so when my dog climbs up she is not hesitant and has plenty of support. Excellent investment.

Make and Model of vehicle matters
This appears to be a pretty nice unit however, the door on my Lexus RX470 does not open far enough for me to use it for the back seat. I only keep it because I have other vehicles I can use it on. Those are work trucks I can use it with.

Does Not Fit Most Sidedoors
It’s a pretty quality product and there is an option for side stairs but the product doesn’t actually change. It fits in the trunk area but it doesn’t fit any modern car’s side door if you’re looking for that

Sturdy & well built.
I took a chance on this step and was very pleased. It sets up well, fits in the door just fine and our dog has no problem using it. We have a Ford Explorer and I rest the top on the folded seat. It's very light and is easy to fold out & up. Our dog is and 80lb Golden Retriever and it's plenty sturdy for him.

Won't fit on the side of my car.
I bought the stairs to use them on the car side. They don't fit because the car doors don't open enough. Tried with another car, and it doesn't work either. Contacted the seller and they just replied. They say it works with some cars, but not all. The stairs are very narrow and not sturdy enough for a big dog. Won't be able to use them. The seller was helpful and gave me partial refund.

Doesn't work with our wagon
Bought this to be able to have our golden retriever mix enter from the side. Door does not open wide enough on our Subaru Outback to accommodate the steps. Works OK for back, but would have opted for the wider steps. This might work well for a minivan with sliding doors or full size SUV, but likely not for sedans and smaller SUVS. (Doesn't work with our Forester either.)

Pretty Cool Steps for my Old Doggo
I was pleasantly surprised to see them fit on my tundra with a 6” lift. My 100lb pupper couldn’t figure them out at first, but after a few practice runs, he went up and down just fine. No complaints from me. Now let’s see how long they last !!!

Sturdy, Compact, Easy to Use
I got this for our 85lbs rottweiler to get in and out of the back seat of our Jeep Grand Cherokee. The door opening was measured ahead of time and did meet the requirement but it still doesn't fit perfectly. It does work really well we just have to make sure to balance it just right. The steps are much sturdier then I expected and easily support our large dog. I like that it can expand to different heights/lengths depending on the curb or ground we are parked next too. It also folds up really easy and stores on the back seat floor. I would recommend it.
