Sturdy and nice looking.
This is a well made and classy looking elevated dog bowl. The measurements are true, it is approx. 7 inches from top to bottom. Perfect for my tall-ish pug. I would like the bowl itself to be more shallow / smaller, but that has more to do with my pugs needs, than an issue with the design. The stand is easy to clean and the bowl does not move around too much inside. It is very sturdy and my pug was not able to push it along the floor. The way these are constructed, they can be stacked on top of each other for storage, which is good, because I bought 2. I think for a smaller dog, this would be too big. If your dog is 20 pounds or less, get the small feeder, unless they are very leggy.**Edit** Updated 6 months later. These bowls are as sturdy and nice looking as when I got them. They have not fallen over, cracked, rusted, or in any other way worn out. I use them every single day, twice a day for 2 pugs. The bowls clean easily and the stand wipes down just fine. I did get a liner to put underneath the bowl, as my pugs could sometimes pop the bowl out from eating too vigorously. I used that non-slip carpet backing, and it holds the bowls in place and keeps it from slipping.

Expensive piece of pottery.
This was a bit pricey for made in China ceramic, I suppose the cost is in the shipping since it's really heavy. I needed a stand that would hold one bowl. Most stands I found held two or three bowls and were made of wood/bamboo. I tried a wood stand and the bowl just rattled around and it looked and felt cheap. I finally found this Unleashed stand and although it was on the expensive side I gave it a shot.I liked everything about this stand except the cheap steel bowl that comes with the stand. The bowl that comes with the Unleashed stand is deep and somewhat narrow and it rattles around when resting in the ceramic stand. I added felt bumpers inside the stand and that helped a bit.I wanted a second bowl to make swapping out dishes easier, but Unleashed was charging way to much for one thin and cheap stainless steel bowl. I found another bowl that fit the Unleashed stand: Americat Company Set of Stainless Steel Cat Bowls ( ASIN: B078WD334Q ). These Americat bowls work great with the Unleashed stand.... the bad part, the Americat bowls cost just as much as the Unleashed stand.Pictured with the review are the Americat bowls and the Unleashed Life High-Rise stand (small size). Siamese cat added for scale.

Posh dog eats!
My bowl arrived today and I love it, so it better last! I'm not sure why some had complaints about size, it is much larger than I expected (wish it were easier to attach a photo.) Mine arrived in tact and was packaged very well, I appreciate that care. My puppy is about 1' tall (20 lbs) and I was afraid he wouldn't be able to reach at a glance. He is easily able to drink from the bowl, it is at his level. He will be about 2' tall (40 lbs)full grown so I expect this to work well for me. I guess a tall dog may still have to bend a bit, I can't say for sure but judging the reviews it should work fine. My puppy seems to love it, he seems to be running over for water quite a bit, no problem there. And it is heavy, can't see it being knocked over easily. Measure 1 ft from the floor to the rim. Btw, I ordered the large bowl. I would recommend it and would gift it to pets of loved ones (pricey)

Functional and nice looking, metal bowl could have been improved
The ceramic base is sturdy and heavy enough that my dog (a 25-kg siberian husky) can't push it about when eating. It blends well in my home decor as well. The only thing I didn't like about it was the metal bowl. I mistook the diameter stated in the product description to be that of the bowl, was a bit disappointed when I got the actual product and found that the internal diameter of the bowl itself is just 6 inches - too small for my dog ! Luckily his existing bowl sits nicely on the base and works even better because the effective height is raised by a couple of inches. The original bowl itself is of good quality, but the black rubbery rim that I think is meant to make lifting the bowl out of the base easier was a bit sticky and "roughed" up when I got it - would be better if the replace it with better quality elastic materials like silicone.

Nice looking raised feeding dish
This is expensive for a dog bowl, but we feed our dogs in the foyer and it ties in nicely - without sticking out too much. I wish they made a taller version. Our Malamute mix stands 28" at the shoulder, so this stand is still a few inches short, but it still works perfectly. I only gave it 3 stars because the bowl is quite cheap for the amount of money spent on the item overall. The bowl does rattle a bit when our dog is eating the final few pieces of kibble as he pushes them around. The quality of the stand itself is great - heavier than expected and looks great. I recommend it if you can overlook the price.

Love it and am buying another one!
My lab has severe arthritis in her neck. I needed a single raised feeder but most of them were either ridiculously expensive or not very sturdy. This is a nice addition to my kitchen, heavy, and very sturdy for a single feeder. So far my lab has not knocked it over or pushed it around the kitchen. I did have to make a gasket for the bowl so that it would not spin or move around. My lab is a rescue and was afraid of the sound the bowl made; however, I am very happy overall once I added the gasket. I plan on purchasing another one for my other lab.

Filled with Broken Army Men
This is kind of odd but I have pictures to prove it. My dog was eating her dinner and I noticed her bowl was tipped over. For some reason the top portion just broke off. When I picked it up I found that there were a bunch of headless army men in the bottom portion of the bowl.... I'm a little speechless... The bowls are great. I have two red ones and one black one and I love them, but this is just odd... The bowl on the left is the other bowl we have for comparison the one on the right is the broken one.

Bowls look great in the kitchen area where dog eats
Bowls look great in the kitchen area where dog eats, sturdy enough for Standard Poodle could be couple inches taller though the dog is fine eating from them.

It is a really nice dog dish and holder
It is a really nice dog dish and holder. The only negative thing about it, is the dish is small, I thought it would be bigger as it is considered a large bowl.I have two Chocolate Labs and we have to fill it about three times a day. Other than this, it is a nice product.

It's perfect!!
It's perfect for my purposes!! It's heavy enough not to get tipped over or blown away, and far more attractive than any other dish I could have put outside. It's more of a green-tinged grey than the beige in the picture, but that actually works out better for me, as it matches the colour of my fence better. Zero complaints. I love it!!

Beautiful and ergonomic of our dogs
Exactly as shown in photo. Not too heavy, but sturdy for a big dog. Elevated for its comfort and is a great buy.
