It is heavy. I don't think it is suitable as a kids prop due to the weight. The crystal is easy to modify to secure it I used a dermal and shaved one of the flats and hot glued a magnet to it and did the same for the corresponding staff. Now the crystal stays put and can be removed intentionally to turn on the led light. Luckily it really did not block the led flashlight so it still lights up no problem. I kind of wish for the price it would have come this way from the factory. No complaints for cosplay.

This is probably my favorite purchase of all time! The staff is quality! It has a good weight to it so you don’t have to worry too much about it breaking. It comes with a wall mount so you can easily display it!

if you're debating whether to get this - DONT DEBATE - its really nice - as it high quality and well madeit looks great by my fireplace - when in doubt, always follow your nose

It's a good staff looks exactly like the one in the movie. But dang it's got some weight into it! Here are my 2 estimations. 1.: That maybe Ian McKellen is a really strong dude, or 2 that this staff wasn't as heavy in the movie as it is now. OR maybe it's just heavy for me because I'm a 10-year-old kid. Since I really like Gandalf, I figured I would buy this staff. Oh, and the crystal doesn't fit at all on the top of the staff. The LED light does fit on the staff, but after a few minutes of swinging the staff up and down, the LED light dropped right out of the staff. But overall, it's a pretty neat replica Oh I know that at the top you see my dad's name but the one who did this writing is me.
