8 miles, no chafing!
I have an oversized "throwback" Pomeranian who loves to run with me. Underneath all his fluff, he is a lanky, thin, athletic 15 lb. He loves to run with me, but his step in harness chafed his armpit area. Seeing the good reviews on this harness in regards to preventing chafing in active dogs, I decided to give it a try.I ordered the XS based on the size chart... his girth measurement was in the middle of the range given. When it arrived, it was a little larger than I expected, and I had to adjust it to the smallest setting to fit him properly. It's possible the XXS may have been a better fit for him, but I decided to keep the XS and give it a try.Security? No part of the harness has any stretch to it -- in the product image, the front part looks like it might be elastic, but it is actually a sturdy non-stretch fabric with reflective strips. The non-stretch factor makes it a very secure harness. And for double security and maximum adjustability, the girth closes by velcro followed by a buckle attachment over the top. I am sure that a determined dog could figure out a way to back out of it, especially if the fit is too loose, but no such attempt was made by my dog. He spooks easily when we are running, especially if we're near a road and a car comes up behind us. He bolts behind me and I have to pull him forward. He did this multiple times while we were running, and the harness stayed secure as I pulled him forward. I use a coupler to attach the harness to the collar as a safety measure so that if he does back out of the harness, he is still attached to the leash by his collar. I recommend this extra precaution for any dog who bolts when frightened, especially if he will be walked near a busy road. But in this case, the harness stayed put very well.Chafing? The material is thicker than an average harness, but very slippery. The part that actually contacts the dog reminds me of the straps of a good quality back pack, made to comfortably slide against the skin. No sharp edges to scrape against his skin as his body moves. Additionally, the girth sits a couple inches behind his armpits, as opposed to his previous step-in harness that sat right against his armpits. We ran eight miles today, and I checked him carefully for chafing afterwards. No sign of chafing at all! He loves running so much, and I am so excited to have found a secure harness he can wear when he is on longer runs with me that doesn't cause him pain later.Ease of use? To be honest, this harness is easier to put on than a step in harness! You just slide it over the dog's head like a collar, then fasten the girth with velcro followed by the buckle. Great choice for squirmy, excitable dogs who are hard to get into other types of harnesses. It's also easy to adjust for a perfect fit. While not marketed as a no-pull harness, I think it also had a positive effect on his pulling. Nothing I have tried (including the Easy Walk harness) completely stops him from pulling when he's excited, but when wearing this harness today, he seemed to recognize when he was pulling and ease up more readily than usual.Overall, I am very satisfied with this harness. It might be more expensive than the step-in harness at Walmart, but it is well worth the extra money if you're looking for something sturdy and comfortable for your active dog. And it seems like it is built to last. I look forward to many more runs with my pup and his ComfortFlex harness!

Pretty good
EDIT: After a few months of use I found that she easily backed out of her harness. The front strap is too long and I can't pull the chest strap far enough back and tighten it so it stays in place.Good harness for my whippet. Front strap is 16.5" which let's the girth strap sit a comfortable few inches behind her elbows. She has 22" girth. The front strap is a little long so I have to keep the girth strap as tight as possible and sitting closer to her tuck up so she won't be able to slip out. My favorite harness for her so far, best for short hikes and walks. I still use the Webmaster for more security when we're hiking in hilly or rocky areas. I order the SM for her. She seems comfy in it and doesn't mind wearing it for long periods of time. I still keep the leash attached to both the harness and her collar in case she gets excited and tries to back out of the harness. It fits nicely over top a coat for walks in cold weather.

if you have normal dog this is a great harness but if u have a jerk like mine you might need to look elsewhere
I really like the comfort flex harness and it fits my dog pretty well. Its great for walking him because he is quite large and the harness gives me more control. The reason I am giving it a 3 is because my dog has managed to destroy it. Whenever he lays down with it on he can get at the the front of the harness and it has proven no match for his considerable destructive skills. It's not the first and probably won't be the last thing he destroys so if you have normal dog this is a great harness but if u have a jerk like mine you might need to look elsewhere.

Best harness for French Bulldogs
If you have a French Bulldog, you know how hard it is to find a harness that fits properly around a barrel chest and thick neck. This is by far the best fitting harness I've gotten for my Frenchie. No shifting straps and mid-walk adjusting needed. My Frenchie is quite active and we do a lot of daily outdoor activity and these harnesses have held up really well. I've had the oldest harness for a little over a year and it's still going strong. In addition to the great fit and quality, it's also easy to put on over-the-head, is cushioned to prevent chafing and has a double securing mechanism - velcro strap and release buckle - that ensures that the harness stays on and can't be wiggled out of. I loved the first harness so much that I ended up getting two more. If they had more colors - fingers crossed for a grey option - I'd definitely buy more. For reference, my Frenchie has a 16" neck and 21" chest and the size S fits him perfectly.

FINALY the ONE!
I tried and sent back sooo many other types!Bought the ML for my growing 7 month old golden retriever, about 55 pounds. Lots of room left to grow more. He was 27 girth so he was 1/2 inch less than minimum said but it still worked without slipping and he quickly filled it out. He has not been happy with SEVERAL styles I tried but stands still happily for this one! Then lifts his head high and is ready to go. With others he would stand like a statue with head down in a sad pout.It is light, airy, so easy to put on and so importantly, does NOT slip in any direction.Made very well and doesnt have a huge uncomfortable buckle right behind his front leg like so many. Great for an active dog and especially a long haired dog. Just love this harness! The only thing I would ask is that the clip ring be anchored in place rather than lose on the grab handle and maybe for the grab handle to be a little more structured. This is just an aesthetic thing for me. I WILL BE BUYING AGAIN!

Adjustable and very easy to put on
Outstanding harnesses for our two dogs (pug and French bulldog). Adjustable and very easy to put on, they provide a lot of support without putting any pressure on the dogs' necks. Extremely well-made and sturdy.

Sizing off, unfortunately. Looks like it's good quality.
Measured my dog before hand to make sure it fit and too big, unfortunately. Like the fabric and looks like it will be comfortable. Well made. Sizing seems a bit off. Will exchange.
