Wow a huge book with tons of pictures of vehicles— what more could my almost 2 year old son need? We read this over and over and over every day! He had a small First 100 Trucks book that he took with him everywhere until it fell apart and this was an awesome replacement :) If your child likes vehicles of any kind get this book and they are sure to enjoy. Because of this book, my son can identify 90% of the vehicles we see when we’re out and about and is always telling stories about the garbage truck/ giant excavator/ coach, etc. I can’t see him growing out of this book anytime soon!

My 22 month old girl loooovvess this book. She recognizes alomost all vehicles in the book by name.Other reviewers have noted that , this book is called first 100 machines but it show cases only vehicles. That is true. There are 3 different types of excavators (a giant, a mini and a normal excavator) that confused my kid. Although I am not very impressed, I am still giving 5 stars because it keeps her occupied and is a great learning experience.We own 4 books from this series. At first I didn't like them because they were just pictures and no story or text to read out and i really had to think hard what to say about each picture. But i was wrong. The pictures were enough to capture my little ones attention and she will sit for several minutes pointing out and 'reading' from these books. She has had it for 2 months now and its still her favourite. Its funny to hear her say "ambulance waan waan waan' or 'skid steer'. Worth the buy!

I don't know what it is about 2 year old boys, but when they reach that age they become fascinated with machinery. I've experienced it with all of my nephews, and the latest addition to our family is no different.This is a large-size, full-color, board book - meaning the pages are thick and sturdy. All it consists of are photographs of real motorized machinery, taken from various angles, with the names of each vehicle shown. There's a page devoted to types of cars, types of trains, types of boats, types of airplanes, types of construction vehicles, types of farm vehicles and types of emergency/city vehicles. So it covers all the bases and is full of images to bring joy to a little boy's heart.My nephew reads this book every night with his father. Then he reads it over with me when I babysit him. There is just something so adorable seeing a 2 year old seriously pointing out a combine harvester or a dump truck as if it was the most important thing in the world. Not to mention the fact that it's a good item to use if you want the little one to have some quiet time. So if you've got a little boy in your family, or one that you need a gift for, I'd give this book two thumbs up.

I purchased this book for my grandson who is going to soon be 3 years old. My son and daughter-in-law requested that I purchase a book for him that has large enough pix for viewing numerous machines--not just one machine--where machinery is clearly defined in picture, as well as labeled for clarity. They wanted a book that was a little bit challenging so that he could learn but yet at the level he could understand what he was seeing. This book fits that description perfectly for my grandson's age group! It is exciting for him, not boring! And heavy duty enough to withstand being thrown a time or two! Or sticky fingerprints easily wiped off! The book is easy to hold and is even more excellent when mom or dad read the book with the child! The price even with mailing costs was good also! Definitely quality with a good price!

My 16 month old loves vehicle...but no so much sitting through storybooks. This book was an instant hit however! He loves looking through it with us and pointing out his favorite vehicles (the race car, the steam train, the school bus, and the scooter)! It's a big book, and fun to look through together. It's great for building vocabulary (for me too -- I had no idea there were so many kinds of tractors)! The pictures are clear and the binding is strong and it will hold up to toddler hands. Perfect for vehicle lovers!

This book is really large and perfect for little readers. My 18 month old son enjoys looking at all of the pictures and pointing out the different vehicles and airplanes. It is a very sturdy book with bright pictures and can withstand rough handling by my little one. The pages easily wipes clean with a wet wipe when his sticky fingers make things a little messy! Overall, a great book for the First 100 family of books. I would recommend it to anyone with a little one who is interested in cars, planes, trains, tractors, etc.

My 1 1/2 year old grandson adores trucks and machinery and looks at this book obsessively. Each page is filled with a variety of vehicles (farm, construction, emergency, water, etc.). It's been worth every penny.

小１で父親の海外赴任でアメリカの小学校に入った孫のために買いました。ちょうど良かったみたいで、少し読めて、内容のvarietyも興味をひいたようです。赤ちゃん用の分厚いページの絵本でかなりの大判です。

最近は小学校１年生から英語の授業が組み込まれており、少しでも英語にふれさせようと思い購入しました。全部が迫力のある写真で構成されており、動物と車や機械に興味を持ち始めたばかりの保育園前の幼児ですが、写真を指して英語で教えると真似をして発音します。又、実際のマシーンと相違なく見られるので、イメージがつきやすく身近に見かけた時も英語で発音して私たちや下の子に教えたりしてくれます。本もボードタイプなので、かなり活発で新しいおもちゃも一人で遊ばせていれば、１週間ももたず壊してしまう我が子でも壊れない作りになっており大助かりです。お気に入りの一冊という事もあり、常に持ち歩いているので学習を兼ねて物を大切に扱う事を教えるにはもってこいの一冊です。

Es ist nicht das Lieblingsbuch unseres Sohnes über Fahrzeuge (das ist eindeutig Richard Scarry's cars and trucks and things that go) aber es gefällt ihm Buch recht gut.Ich mag nicht so sehr, dass einige der Bilder ausgeschnitten und mit grell-bunten Hintergründen versehen sind. Das wirkt auf den Seiten oft recht unruhig. Die Seite über trains hat meiner Meinung nach zu viele spezielle Züge (für mich nicht wirklich ersichtlich was optisch die Unterschiede zwischen commuter train, passenger train, long distance train und euro star sind)

Very colorful pictures. My son loves this book. The book is quite sturdy and hence is bound to very little damage when given to the little ones.Worth the price. Definitely recommended!

In diesem Buch lernt man nicht nur selbst sehr viel, sondern ist auch sehr spannend und lehrreich für jedes Kind. Ich kaufte es als mein Sohn 18 Monate war und er war von Anfang an begeistert und interressiert von diesem Buch! Ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen!
