Mary Had a Little Jam: And Other Silly Rhymes (Giggle Poetry)

I have the original hardcover book from about 16 years ago that I read to my younger daughter and I love love love that book!!! When I saw it on Amazon, I decided instantly to send it to my granddaughters (of my older daughter lol) .. They live 3,000 miles from me so we Facetime almost every day and I was so excited that we would be able to “read it together” .. My fault, I suppose because I didn’t notice that the inside was basically comic book type paper and the photos were all black and white .. not at all like my book .. I returned it ..

My daughter and I love this book! It's engaging, funny, sweet, and fun! I love how classic rhymes have been changed to make them more memorable and positive for little ones. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the paperback version is in black and white, not color. It leaves much to be desired. I would have liked to have known that it is in black and white, and I wouldn't have ordered it! I ordered the Mother Goose Rhymes by the same author and it has the same rhymes in color. I will be returning.

This book is a gem. My preschool aged children love the play on words and how the author has changed some to make them more believable to Techno savvy kids. A hilarious book that takes traditional rhymes and puts a whole new twist on the fun and laughter that can be had. A great find for any young child!

This book is hilarious and a favorite. It is a chance to read another version of familiar nursery rhymes which we laugh at each page. Illustrations help with the comedy of the text.

Love the rhymes super cute it's the best!!! Passed the gem along to my bestie and her little one!!!

My granddaughter loves it. we read it three or four times a week. She is 5years old and is in kindergarten and is learning how to read. the rhymes are great for her.

This book puts a C-U-T-E spin on the humdrum nursery rhymes. Instead of the same old rhymes we all grew up with, these have a humorous twist....guaranteed to be a repeat read!

This was one of our families favourites and we always enjoy giving it to family and friends when they have children to keep the tradition alive! Really cute modern day twists to old nursery rhymes!
