Worth every penny
Replaced a set of gel inserts I've had for ten years ... Should have done so a long long time ago. These things are awesome. Excellent coverage and zero pain after five days on the slopes.

Game changer for shin pain while snowboarding
Have had a small point of intense pain on right shin for years, and no bootfitter could figure out why. I'd tried different boots, socks, custom footbeds, stretching, strengthening, and so many different materials for protection. Saw these on a Reddit post and noticed immediate improvement on my first run. They have saved my snowboarding "career" (ie, can now ride 3-4 days in a row with no pain) - they're made of a thin, gel-like material that compresses where they need to and doesn't irritate my skin. Wish they were cheaper/easier to find, and even though you can reactivate the "stickiness" of the gel for repeated use, I will be buying multiple pairs.

Works brillintly!
Completely eliminated my snowboard hard boot shin bang. So thin it does not effect my stance, don't even know it's there!

Great Gel Shin Protector for Ski Boots
I have frequent problems with my ankles and shins hurting after a day of skiing (I probably need new boots.). These gel Shin protectors are the best thing I've found for alleviating the problem, and work well even when skiing multiple days in a row. They are soft-but-firm -- exactly the cushioning needed to maintain good skiing responsiveness while protecting the leg. The gel will wear out -- my first pair lasted for about a dozen uses.Unfortunately, they are no longer available domestically so I was happy to find ones from FreezeProShop which shipped them from overseas at a reasonable price ($21.95). They shipped them quickly and they arrived in about a week. Unfortunately, now I only see them available for over $50 -- I can't imagine why the SIDAS company has stopped selling them. The closest thing available is called SkiShins and is made of flexible memory foam padding. I use them as well -- sometimes in combination with the SIDAS.

A gel protector for skiers!
These hard-to-find gel protectors for the shin look really good, and substantial. I have not been able to use them yet, but am confident that they will do the job. I also like the feature that allows me to cut or trim them to my needs.

Causes Sores/Blisters
I love my Sidas footbeds, but these pads are a nightmare. They caused my shins to blister with weeks of healing time. Won't ever use something like this for "shin bang" again.

It works!!
I have been plagued for years by a bad case of shin bang due to wide feet and skinny ankles that make bootfitting hard. I saw several bootfitters and they all recommended custom made ski boots. I was about to give in when I decided as a last attempt to give a try to these shin protectors. I just came back from two days of skiing and I'm happy to report that my shins are unscratched. I highly recommend them. They seem durable and can definitively be used for more than one day on the slopes.

This helps if you have shin splints issues
My daughter is a ski racer and she has shin splints. This gel pad was recommended by another ski racer and she says it helps
