The closest operating mode distinguishes near and far objects and identifies the closest target and the farthest mode allows you to lock on the furthest target and shoot distant features through brush and foliage. Continuous mode provides constant updates while locking on multiple targets. The trupulse also features a brush filter mode. The trupulse diopter is adjustable for comfortable viewing - even for eyeglass wearers. The housing is IP 54 rated for water- and dust-resistance and features an RS 232 serial Port to download data. In addition, the trupulse 360 includes a built-in digital compass sensor which allows you to shoot from any angle. Truvector technology provides the best possible compass accuracy regardless of the laser's Orientation. The instrument can be tilted or rolled - even used upside down - making the trupulse 360 ideal for taking measurements in difficult areas. Disatisfied.
I purchased this unit to do inventories because it would cover longer distances than other products available. I have a Hilti laser device I use in smaller areas. The product worked once then stopped.

Hand held marvel
I am an engineer for a large surface coal mine. I use this product on a daily basis to measure face heights and distances between coal faces and overburden faces. It will also measure a ramp grade very easily. New batteries now and then is all it needs to keep working. The bluetoothe feature works, but we have not found a need for that feature.
