Attic Stair Insulation Cover
This item is exactly as described. I installed it by first using double sided Gorilla Tape to seal around the inner perimeter edges of the attic stair frame and then stapled it to the same frame. Installation was quick and easy. Most people have given this product very good reviews. However, one reviewer stated “Zipper doesn't mesh tight and leaks air” and “I could see light where the zipper meshes between the zipper teeth.” After receiving this item, I held it up to the light and didn’t see any light coming through the zipper seams. Once I mounted it I turned the attic light on and again saw no light seeping through the seams of the zipper. I’m glad I paid no mind to that one bad review. In conclusion, this is a very good product and once mounted I didn’t feel any air seeping through the zipper seams and could feel the difference immediately between this and the tent type insulation that I was previously using. Can’t beat the quality of this product or the price!

Solved a huge problem
I had moisture on my walls in the hallway where my attic door is. I was told I needed new insulation so I spent over $1,000 to do that. Still had moisture. I bought this to stop any warm air leaking into the house and it worked perfectly. No more moisture. When I open the attic, I don’t get blasted by hot air. And it is surprisingly easy to unzip and get up there. I don’t have trouble getting things down once I unzip it. It was easy to install-just staple around the edges and tape over the edges. I did it in 10 minutes. Make sure you tape around it with insulating tape. Don’t skip that step because it really helps.

Would Highly Recommend.
OMGoodness but this is fantastic. I noticed a difference before I had finished installation. Very easy to install, I believe it took me about 7 minutes to install.

What a difference this makes!
Our attic door with pull down ladder steps in this old (1940's) house is right above the thermostat. It was hard to seal the door and also retain access.I was skeptical of the "easy to install" comments but it was! It was helpful to watch a couple of the demo videos to get the idea.I used "double-sided super tape" and a staple gun. The material can be pleated to make a snug fit. Access is easy with the zipper opening. We feel a temperature difference, winter and now summer in the hallway. Our AC is running less, too!

Wonderful product
Product fits great with a little extra slack for a standard opening, instructions just have a couple graphics so I'll just say what I did to get a great air seal, and smooth zipperUsed a basic manual staple gun with 3/8 or 1/2" staples, started from one corner facing the ladder with an idea how high I need it above the ladder frame (still down inside the pocket that the frame itself is screwed into) for the ladder to clear it folded, and did the other corners next pulling it tight from the last staple- make sure any extra slack is behind you when you go up the ladder for the zipper to fly smooth around curved section you'd be going in and out of. once the corners are tight (and a little bunched up on the back side corners), just staple the rest of it every 4-5 inches and a couple extra near the front of the opening, then run around the edges with aluminum/foil tape, use extra tape to seal up any of the bunched-up cornersThe ladder barely gets warm to the touch from the attic heat now, and there is a serious temp difference once you open it, so you can really tell this thing works! Much less of the attic heat coming down into the hallwayPicking up another one for the garage attic!
