MonroeLoad Adjusting 58650 Suspension Shock Absorber and Coil Spring Assembly Pack of 2 for Dodge Dakota

Truck feels like sitting on a couch.

I had installed these years ago on a 2006 Dodge Dakota I now have a 2006 Mitsubishi Raider. From what i can see Everything is identical on the Raider to the Dakota mechanically. You will need to Jack the truck up from the trailer hitch to get the axle to drop all the way down to get these on as the Springs are too hard to compress with weight on the wheels. On the left side frame rail there will be a small wiring harness that you need to put on top of the frame and run a zip tie around to avoid it from hitting the spring. My truck rides so much better now. I installed these so that I could tow a trailer that has a lot of tongue weight. My truck has custom dual exhaust so the pictures may look different compared to stock.

I have a heavy 6 x 12 Sunshine Cargo trailer and with these in the rear end of the truck is mostly level. good stuff

30 minutes install. Remove old shocks . Slide new ones in place. May need floor jack to get em lined up.

It doesn't lift the truck but it gives a little bit of my stability on bumps

Excellent! Had replaced old shocks on an 05 Dakota with KMG shocks. Truck rode nice, but couldn't handle a load. Replaced them with these. Rides BETTER, plus it will handle 1000 lbs of bag cement without bottoming out. Am delighted. Update! Hauled 10 bags of cement mix one time! Rest of the time, I carried no load at all. 6 months later, both shocks are gone! Will be replacing with OEM.

They are not Monroe brand the description lied!!!!! They are Tekken brand, work decent but not what I wanted!!!

There is a slight clearance issue with the shock. The spring is very close to one of my vehicle's cables. It should have just enough clearance not to be an issue, but if it becomes and issue I would have to relocate the cable. Not too much of an issue.The ride quality changed a bit. It feels like it's absorbing more bumps. My tire's are special in that I made them unbalanced by screeching to a halt. So at highway speeds it shakes a bit until I replace the tires. This absorbs some of the shaking coming from the rear wheels.

Didn’t have the Monroe name on it......but it did say “Made in the USA”.......so I did install them, very happy, did the job! Lifted the rear end up about 1.5”, no more riding low with my tools back there.

Put these on my truck.

Received the item well packaged and on time.Installed in about 2hrs.My truck looks great after installing them and the ride feels better.Great product and they look as if they will last a long time.
