DUBS Helps for Hypersensitive Hearing
Purchased for my son who has hypersensitive hearing. Fingers rubbing on a piece of paper, erasers being used, cloth fabric moving, a marker touching paper, are some sounds that hurt him. He reports that these DUBS are helping to reduce those sounds, but do not block them out. What sounded and felt like 30 nails scratching on a chalkboard now sounds and feels like 4. The DUBS are soft but a little big for his ears to stay in too long without starting to bother the inside. He only wears them in the classroom, while doing homework, or if we are at a loud place. Otherwise, I am thankful that his school band aid teacher recommended these and I would do the same for anyone who needs to block out sounds but still wants to be able to hear. I am going to order an extra pair for backup because without these, my son would suffer in school and in loud places.

TLDR; They work well, but dumbo ear people should stay away
I bought them because I have a hard time focusing on my work when non-rhythmic environmental sounds constantly distract me (books being set down, distant socializing, etc). These earplugs do not kill the sounds, but dulls them. It makes it easier to drown sounds out when they all sound the same.As for their size, they fit very snugly in my ears. When I shop in-ear headphones, I usually wear the small or medium piece, as I have relatively tiny ears. These earplugs are made to be one-size-fits-all, but I can tell that anybody that has to wear large buds will not find this product suitable. So oversized ear people, stay away. Aside from that, it is a great and versatile product. Highly reccomend.

Audio quality is fine, but they wouldn't stay in my ears.
I really wanted to like these ear plugs. The actual audio quality of them seemed good, but I have one MAJOR problem with them. They aren't secure.Maybe I just have excessively waxy ears, but once I start dancing, ear plugs slide right out of my ears.I know they're supposed to be low profile, but I was looking to replace my old Surefire Sonic Defenders, which have a nice large section that grips your ear and come in bright neon orange. I thought that I would like the low profile a little better, but when these fell out of my ear at night time in a music festival, surrounded by thousands of dancing ravers, I cursed their dark color and tiny size.No matter how much I jammed them into my ear canals, they'd slip out quickly and I was constantly pressing on them, trying to make them stop moving. When I finally thought, "maybe they're supposed to fit a little loose," one promptly fell out.I'll hold on to these; maybe if I go to a concert where I'm not dancing (I'm not sure that will ever happen...) these will be nice; but as long as I'm jumping and shaking my head, I'll need a pair with a connecting cord or with a larger ear piece.

Go buy real earplugs, not this garbage.
I own several pairs of earplugs, and was looking for a backup pair. I was swayed by a cool looking product and fancy marketing/website. These things are complete crap. If the only thing you've ever used is foam earplugs or nothing at all, do your ears a favor and go buy real, unsexy-looking earplugs with a sound filter and the multi-tiered rubber ear thingys, and your concert-going life will change. Just don't buy these. Most decent earplugs will lower the dB rating further than whatever this was rated (I hated these so much I can't even bother to go look), making them actually noticeably useful in loud environments. These don't do much at all except ruin the music you paid to go see. Real earplugs are supposed to lower sound to a dB level that is safe, while using a sound filter that **keeps the overall sound unchanged.** Another fail. These smoosh some frequencies, don't even touch others, and distort noises to ring and whistle. These things are noticeable even if you are not an audiophile: my first time wearing these, it was so bad I had to remove them to make sure the guitars weren't having feedback issues... nope! Just my crap earplugs. So instead I listened to a concert without earplugs, because I forgot real ones, and got to enjoy tinnitus the rest of the night. On top of that, the rubber part that sticks into your ear falls off after a couple wears, causing me to have to dig out a pair of tweezers after a show to get them out. I gave them a few tries, but in the end, into the garbage they went, and $20 wasted. PROTECT YOUR EARS, JUST NOT WITH THESE!

Good quality; Time will tell whether they are right for me
I ordered the DUBS because they look nice and people have said they work well at concerts. I regularly go to raves and I want to make sure that my hearing health is protected. I haven't brought them to a rave yet but from a bit of testing at home I have some Pros and Cons.PROS:- Nice to look at- Small sturdy carrying case- Reduce volume but still able to hear surroundingsCONS:- If they are designed to create a seal in my ear canal, I can't seem to achieve a seal. Disclaimer: I have small ears so I have never been quite sure how earbuds or earplugs are supposed to feel.- Not sure if the noise reduction will suffice for being near front row at a rave.CONCLUSION:These DUBS seem to be good quality acoustic earplugs and can certainly be of use to some people. Until I use them at a rave, however, I can not say whether or not they work for ME but not everyone is looking to block that level of noise.I will update after OCT. 14 when I go see NGHTMRE.Attached are some pictures I took of the product straight out of the package.

Highly recommended for concert wear!
These earplugs were probably one of the best investments I ever made. I got these for a heavy metal concert I was attending, and wow. Such a difference! I could still hear the show at a pretty decent mix, but wasn't in pain from the intense bass of being at a live show. It did take a little bit more volume out of mid range treble than I would have liked, as sometimes it was a little harder to understand the singers, but that also could have been an issue with the house mix.My only other issue with them is that they were a smidge bit too big and became uncomfortable by the end of the show, but I think I might be able to replace the rubber plug part with a smaller size from other earbud headphones. These work amazingly well and I highly recommend them for going to a concert with.

Amazing
I was amazed by how well these work, i am unable to be around loud noises do to an inner ear problem so going to concerts or the movies are challenging for me. With these ear buds however i am able to go and enjoy myself without my ears crackling taking away the enjoyment of the concert or the movie. The crackling being from my ear problem. I recommend this product to anyone looking to reduce the volume without sacrificing quality. I will be buying a couple more pairs.

Dobs are great!
The delivery was prompt but more importantly the Dubs are exactly what I needed. I have acute hearing and concerts and seminars are torture for me. I just tested them out at a conference and they really do deliver a volume control without sacrificing the sound quality. I'm very pleased with them.

I bought the size that is recommended for most people
I saw these and thought they would be a little more inconspicuous that the Etymotics I have now that stick out of my ear. I bought the size that is recommended for most people. One fits well and one is too small. I don't get the seal that my Etymotics give so they are useless to me.
