This is a very nice product, nice Celtic design, something a little different from the usual claymore pin most people use to hold the kilt apron down.

Liked the style of pin for my kilt.First time I wore a kilt and the pin finished the outfit off.

This kilt pin is quite different to others I own and have seen elsewhere as it is a matt finish pewter pin.Normally the pewter pins are also polished to a shine.It is also noticeably heavier than others although its basic dimensions are the same as usual.This may make it more appropriate for the heavier tartans compared to the medium weight cloths where the design may become out of alignment.The clasp at the back provides a secure grip by not twisting around easily. This is a great advantage of course.I would suggest that the matt finish would be best matched with the muted range of tartans and not the more modern and brighter designs.Recommended therefore but especially if it is matched with a heavier weight tartan of muted colours.
