Really high quality tea with meaningful social impact
I love this tea - it's high-quality and very calming. Would make for an excellent gift, because the packaging and overall feel of the tea is so luxurious. Each tea bag can brew multiple cups of tea.It also feels good to buy a tea that is creating social impact in terms of the local Afghan farmers this business helps to empower and support.Highly recommend!

Refreshing and uniquely flavorful tea blend
This tea is an excellent addition to my daily routine. The flavor profile is mild but refreshing- with each taste, I can pick up on the different aromatics in the tea. I appreciate that not one part dominates the entire blend, but that there is a comforting balance achieved between the saffron, ginger, lemongrass. These elements really elevate the sencha. Beautiful packaging and unique, enjoyable taste.I'll be purchasing again and incorporating into an afternoon ritual.

Awful taste
Saffron tea is supposed to be good for you but I just couldn't get over the bad taste!

Not your average tea blend!
The Tahmina blends are without a doubt my favorite teas. The flavor of saffron is distinct, yet not overwhelming. Most teas have either a morning or evening application but this blend really does taste amazing at any time of the day. I love that the tea bags are bio-degradable and of course the ingredients are completely organic. The opportunity to support Tahmina, a business that seeks to impact conflict zones through social enterprise, makes this tea an easy purchase and me a lifelong customer! For $18, 36 cups of tea is an absolutely fantastic price point.

It's not you, it's the saffron (or, "I'm just mad about saffron.")
I am a tea drinker. Every morning, I brew a kettle of a mix of Genmaicha and Hoijcha in a pewter teapot. Loose leaves, brewed to perfection.Always open to trying new teas and I had never seen saffron in a green tea blend before. This tea is exactly, perfectly, everything it purports to be.It is deep and rich and flavorful. The catch for me-I did not like the saffron taste in the tea.I know what you are saying, "Dude, this is saffron tea! How can you take a star away for that?"I struggled with this and thought, "Well, I didn't really like the taste. My review needs to reflect this."One star off here is fair by my estimation. The saffron was strong, which is interesting because, when I buy saffron for stews, the threads are incredibly expensive, so I assumed a subtle taste of saffron would be in the tea.Nope. This is a saffron tea, for sure.Good tea.Well made.Tastes like saffron, for sure.If that is your bag (pun intended) this is your tea.* I base my own purchases on customer reviews. Non-overpowering flavor that I didn't expect
How strong you like your tea flavor probably determines what you will think about this particular one. It isn't bad. I was concerned about what saffron would do to the taste as I'm not really familiar with saffron (it's an expensive spice). But I saw ginger in the ingredients and I love many things that include ginger. And after green tea, ginger is the next listed ingredient. However, the flavor is more minty than anything else. It smells minty and tastes minty. I'm not really a minty tea lover, so you can imagine where my verdict on this tea is going. It's not so bad that I won't finish the canister. It isn't a very powerful taste and of course you can steep it to your own taste if you want it weaker or stronger. But I wouldn't buy this based on my experience. I wish the name of the tea was Lemongrass Mint Sencha with a hint of saffron. Then I would have known not to waste my time with it.That said, if you love minty lemongrass teas with a hint of saffron, give this a try as you'll probably like it.
