I love the idea of the wood case, but very hard to remove and when I dropped it, it broke but I ordered another one. Call me crazy.

looked great but the first time i dropped it the side of the case broke off. Looks great, but not very durable at all. :(

This is a gorgeous, real wood case. Mine looks very similar to the case featured in the product photos. It fits very snugly on the phone, but it's difficult to remove. You're supposed to be able to press the top half along the seam and slide it apart, but I'm not sure there's enough clearance inside the case to allow this. I'm not desperate yet, but if I need to pull the battery, I may try wedging a guitar pick in the seam for more leverage.The case has beveled edges all around and is very comfortable to hold. The S3 is a thin phone, and this case bulks it up to about 12mm thick, which I like--I can keep a good grip on it now. All the openings are beveled as well, except for the headphone and charging port, both of which are recessed 3-4mm deep. Because of this depth, I'd recommend you try all your chargers and headphone plugs first to make sure they fit properly and insert far enough to make contact with the headphone/charging jacks. The openings on the case work well for me--I only have one charger that doesn't insert all the way. The headphone and charger openings aren't quite centered, either, so keep that in mind. Since this case is wood, it should be a relatively easy task to use a small rasp or Dremel tool to reshape the port openings. The openings for the lock button and volume rocker are a bit wider than I expected and whittled a bit thinner--they actually dip in toward the phone. While I expect this makes the wood around them a little more fragile, it's very helpful when you're searching for these buttons and even someone with larger fingers like me won't struggle to press them.Back to the beveled edges. They aren't uniform, and there are several slight imperfections where the wood is either dented in or the manufacturer sanded a little too much off (the upper right corner of the camera opening in my case), but it's very slight and doesn't bother me. It took me days to notice, but I figured I'd mention it. For me, imperfections are kind of the point. If I wanted a perfectly symmetrical case, I'd buy something made of plastic. In a natural wood case, tiny imperfections add to the organic feel.So I rated this case four stars due to the difficulty in removing it. I doubt it will survive a drop, but that's the nature of wood. The grain that makes this case so gorgeous is also its weak point. Don't be surprised if it splits when you drop it. I expect when I do get around to removing the case I may split it myself. Wood is relatively forgiving, and I'll just buy some wood glue and a clamp if that time comes. If you want protection, buy an Otter Box. But you won't get as many compliments as I have on how beautiful your phone looks. Buy this case. Don't abuse it and you'll be very happy with it.

This is easily the worst case I've ever owned. Look, obviously it's gorgeous, and in that respect I give it 5 stars, but literally the second I snapped it onto my phone, it was locked in permanently. Not even the employees at the Verizon store could get it off. My grandfather is a nuclear engineer, and even he couldn't get the thing off. In addition, I never dropped the phone, and the wood cracked in multiple places within 3 days of purchase. This thing is TERRIBLY made -- definitely not worth the money. Finally, when I finally BROKE the case off of my phone to access the battery, it scratched the hell out of my phone's body. DO NOT BUY THIS. Seriously, it 's awful.

If youre looking for a cheap wooden case, this does a pretty fair job. For its price im happy with what I got. My phone fits snug and unlike some other buyers, I found that I could pretty easily get it off when I needed to. Be aware that if you have a more "squared" phone charger, the charger might not fit. The case comes with a top and bottom that sort of snap together. My only few complaints might be that the seam where the two halves meet is fairly visible and you can feel it when you run a finger down the back, also the case might make it slightly more difficult to hit the volume rocker and lock button. It also comes with a screen protector, which is thoughtful of the seller, but I found the screen protector to be the wrong size for my phone. EDIT: im changing my review because this case just DOES NOT hold up, one single drop from about 2 inches to the floor and the case cracked, its a pretty case, but im disappointed with how quickly it broke, should have listened to the others.

If you use the physical buttons on your phone... don't plan to reach them through this case. It's cool looking (although mine arrived with a fair sized scratch on the back) but it needs some kind of button extensions incorporated into it otherwise it's basically useless.

This is a great product, it is made from real wood and looks great. It fits snug and does not bulk the phone up very much. For those that are complaining about its holes not being quite big enough and rating this very low because of it, they are out of line. this was a very inexpensive case! I have purchased meals I was not satisfied with for more money. Its the cost of a couple coffees. If you drop it and break it great! you payed 10 bucks for it and it saved your 200 dollar phone! if you want a case that will take hits over and over again then do not by a thin wood case!! common sense needs to be used when purchasing this product. As far as the removal of this case I have only slightly tried to get it off my phone and it would come off easily. that is why i am only giving 4 stars.

I bought this case for My Samsung Galaxy S III. I liked the look of it and it is extremely well made. The wood adds a nice luxury look but is sturdy and gives you something to hold on too. I hate that my phone is so thin. It fits the phone so snugly and really protects it from drops. I dropped it on my tile kitchen floor and it survived so I knew it was a worth while purchase. However, today while I was at work. While I was driving my lorry around, I got out of the truck and back in, the phone fell out of my pocket and hit the pavement hard. I didn't notice i had lost it and pulled the lorry forward running the phone over! I realized the phone was gone so I turned around to go look for it. Arriving back at the spot where I stopped, I saw it on the ground. I picked it up noticing I had ran over it with my truck. The case snapped and cracked in a few places but surprisingly THE PHONE WAS UNHURT!!! It didn't even scratch the screen!!! I will be buying many more of these!!! You will not regret this purchase!!!

Concidering it was for a phone and it gets dropped. I was disappointed to find that it broke very quickly

Although I was initially impressed by the case and its sleekness it took a turn for the worst. After owning the case no longer than two days I dropped it about two feet to the floor which caused it to shatter. This is the weakest most unreliable phone case I have ever come across, being unable to withstand a tiny fall is shocking and I question the reliability of eimo as a company and its manufacturing. This alone earned it the one star rating I gave it, forgetting of course the fact that it took 3 weeks to arrive.In short : Do not buy this under any circumstances you will regret it terribly , hands down the worst purchasing mistake I ever made.

The case lasted about a month, after a few drops (brushed off a table onto wood floor, falling out my pocket on hard carpet and general drunken antics...) it has completely disintegrated. But I can see that if you were more careful with it than I was, it could easily last a long time.Good quality, but not for you if you want proper protection
