"The" complete cooker, literally, and no soggy bottoms.
Not had for very long, but have to use it two or three times a day because it is so reliable and a great pleasure to use. The best and most important feature is the complete bottom heat which allows for excellent cooking of pastries such as frozen raw sausage or vegan rolls, homemade quiches and turnovers so guaranteeing crisp, not soggy bottoms.Chips and scampi in one go, perfect in less than 12 minutes.Sausages with onions, fresh grilled tomatoes and potato wedges also perfect in one go.A whole spatchcocked med/large chicken on a bed of roots less than 20 minutes. The large square pan is sturdy enough and with the folding handle, allows you to go straight from the cooker to the table.Don't be put off that the heat dial has no °c or °f, but is just 1 to 4, as most things cook well on 3. Settings 1-2 uses a lower vortex power and allows for the melting of cheese without it being tossed around by the vortex. Of course you cannot toss loose herbs and spices into an air fryer on any setting or loose cheese on full, it will get thrown about and create a mess.A pleasant surprise for me, is that it occupies the same space as a Tower 4.3 litre air fryer and isn't as tall. (Those types can't cook pastry bottoms and mine only lasted 10 months before the heater element completely failed). Before the Tower had failed, I was planning to purchase another as 4.3 litres is too small for most complete meals. So, for the money this Tefal makes complete sense, not just for the cooking volume but for its ability to replace:The fryer. The pastry oven. The frying pan.The sauteuse. The stew pan.The grill. The sandwich toaster. If I were still in the catering trade, I would definitely have a couple of these in the kitchen to save turning on all the the gear on those rather "quite nights", so a carbon footprint plus.N.B. Not much cop for boiling potatoes for mash.

Absolutely Brilliant!
I didn't want to spend £250 on a Ninja and this has more than met my expectations. Been using it for about 2 months and I haven't turned the oven on! I can cook a joint of meat, let it rest while I do roast potatoes. Also cooks frozen pizza and pasties and warms up pastry much better than a microwave or oven. 10/10.

Sturdy and easy to clean
Need enough headroom & time to get used to the top-opening style design instead of the traditional drawer style.I like to peep through the little “window” checking my food while cooking. Overall I am happy with the air fryer

Simple, straightforward, efficient and effective air fryer
Mostly it works very well, and as described in advertising and in the leaflet / instruction book. Have found the app and recipe book useful too. One or two items it cooks more quickly than it says, and there isn’t an easy way to cancel remaining time on the timer … but I can usually just leave it running an extra couple of minutes or so while I serve up / plate the rest of a meal. Some staple items, eg fried chicken, as well as french fries, taste noticeably better when cooked this way versus other methods.

Great chips.
As a long term user of air fryers the breville halo was brilliant, its replacement poor and now defunct and at recycling yard. This De longhi is great its the dual heating element that does the job. Great chips and saute potatoes, just dont put too many a single layer does best.

Wouldn't be without this.
It's an awesome piece of kit, so easy and saves a fortune on heating up my oven.

Avoid. Broke after 7 months. Dreadful customer support
Poorly designed. Light plastic lid for very heavy fan. Broke after 7 months. De Longhi promised to collect for repair but never did. Phone goes unanswered. Eventually got through. Missed 3 pick up dates. Picked up 5 weeks ago and no update. De Longi - avoid
