Fit for Honda CBR500R 2013-2018 The Step Of Install: 1. Remove the clamp and upper hanger bolt from your OEM muffler and wiggle it off;  2. Remove the donut gasket (won't be needed, and this muffler won't fit over it); Slip the included clamp onto the muffler and then wiggle it onto the cat outlet, aligning it so the muffler won't hit the swingarm; 3. Tighten the clamp down (snug, not crazy-tight), wipe off your oily hand/finger prints so they don't bake onto the finish

Great value!!
I am pretty happy with this purchase so far, install was a breeze, maybe 30 min tops probably less if you know your way around a bike. I was looking for something to replace the fugly ass pipe that came stock. Was looking at Coffman shorty and saw this as a suggested item. $75 for a slip on?! I was skeptical. After getting it on tight and firing her up, I’m more than satisfied with this purchase at this time. Haven’t ridden full speed yet so will report back for a follow up!

Very loud
Overall happy with the product however it is very loud and causes a lot of backfiring just be aware before buying. I like it but it does drone a lot at high speeds

3 minute install
Got it in two days, slipped the old one off and this one on in about 3 minutes. Super easy install. Good sound for the price. Don’t forget though, it’s only a V-Twin, so it’s not going to sound like a 4cyl.

Cheaper alternative to name brand, but not as nice
Being that this is a blatant knockoff copy of another more popular (and more expensive) slip-on muffler, this isn't quite as nice overall as that other brand, but it still works ... with a couple of caveats.First off, before I could get the thing to slip on, I had to buy an exhaust pipe expanding tool to flare out the opening just a bit because it was oval-shaped instead of round for some reason - possibly damaged in production or shipping? (Box wasn't damaged, so I dunno.) Without having used that tool, I would never have been able to even install the thing.Secondly, there's no rivet included like the other brand, in case you want to go the permanent route and secure this to the cat outlet pipe. Given, as tight as this fits on, it's not ever going to wiggle or bounce off by itself, but still, it's worth mentioning for some folks who might prefer that detail. Also, this is a straight-through muffler. Unlike the name-brand muffler, which not only includes a baffle (which is easily removed by removing a snap ring) but also has a perforated screen-like plate behind that, this isn't much more than a nice-looking straight-through glasspack muffler. It WILL be raspy and poppy without that baffle, you WILL lose bottom-end power (torque), and you might also experience lean-running problems, especially if you have a performance air filter installed - using a fuel tuner my or may not fix this. If you're just running an OEM type filter, it won't really hurt anything, but it will be MUCH louder. I am already looking into adding an aftermarket baffle to regain my lost low-end power, tame the volume slightly, and reduce the popping on shifts/deceleration - sounds neat at first, but gets annoying after awhile. The "titanium" finish looks especially nice and won't scratch off, unlike the cheap rattlecan-looking matte-black finish version. Also, the name-brand muffler only offers a polished tip version and other colors, and ALL of those have a big ugly nameplate riveted on there, whereas this has a clean, simple, logo-free look - it actually looks like it belongs on the bike, rather than being a tacked-on thingy. There are, of course, no instructions whatsoever, but being as simple as this is, there's really no need at all for them. But, if anyone wants a basic how-to: 1. Tighten the clamp down (snug, not crazy-tight), wipe off your oily hand/finger prints so they don't bake onto the finish; 4. (OPTIONAL) Remove the now-unnecessary passenger footpegs and store them somewhere because, let's face it, you're never going to carry a passenger on this thing anyway and you don't need the right-hand one to hold up the muffler anymore.VALID REASONS TO BUY THIS:1. You want more sound to be heard by other drivers (the CBR500 bikes are WAY too quiet in stock form);2. You want to shed useless weight from your bike (the stock muffler is about 9 lbs. while this is only 1 or 2 lbs.);3. You want to clean up the appearance of your bike and have less "stuff" on it;4. You low-sided or otherwise dropped your bike and beat up your factory muffler, but you don't want to spend a ton of money.INVALID REASONS TO BUY THIS:1. You want a performance or fuel mileage increase (this won't improve either AT ALL);2. You want more power/torque (you actually LOSE torque with this, only MAYBE gaining some mid- or top-end power, and even then that's ONLY if you change the fuel tune);3. You think this is "just as good" as the name-brand muffler of the same appearance (it's close, and it's like 1/3 the price, but still not as good).
